@Bongley yeah its kind of complicated to explain over the phone at the best of times, could you write to them and explain it? and tell everyone to keep it quiet, then ring them when they have read it? Your mum is maybe not going to get there with it but I guess atleast if you have told her its been said.
Are you guys going to tell everyone that bub is from a DE? All this stuff I haven't quite thought about properly yet..or is it more just family and close friends that you tell. A lot of kids don't necessarily look like one parent in particular so its not necessarily an obvious thing hey. Does the counselling go through all this stuff with you?
@billie the weight thing is important with Elonva as there are 2 doses but not as far as I know with gonal/puregon

tuxcat The counselors do go through it but it's more of a 'these are the things that you should be thinking about' and other resources, such as pieces written by parents of and donor conceived children.
Yeah, we'll tell friends and family at first but we'll tell anyone if it's relevant. I imagine it won't really come up that much. If there are any comments about who looks like who a nod and a smile would probably go a long way He'll probably have brown eyes (myself and my partner have blue) but I'll just say it runs in the extended family if we can't be @rsed explaining the whole donor egg route. Frankly my son doesn't look like me or my partner either.
