The donor aspect doesn't even cross my mind to be honest and doesn't even come into it. Yes it's probably two girls but I'm still hoping they are wrong as I'd like a little boy for DP, but for myself, I'd be happy with whatever they are. Two of the same sex is probably better for the kids as they would hopefully be closer.
@JulieMalooley there is growing evidence that women get PTSD from infertility/IVF. I was vaguely aware of this, but after cycle 4 I developed clear symptoms and would have met diagnostic criteria for PTSD. It was pretty horrible and made me realise the emotional toll treatments are taking. It also really worried my poor DH who already feels so bad about what we girls have to go through. You've been through so much over the years that of course you need to defend yourself emotionally - I don't think it is screwed up, I think its a reasonable sane response IMO. Talking to a friend today who is 8 months along after several IVF cycles, she is the same, and she has had a dream pregnancy. I hope it feels safer soon. xo

Thanks for your kind thoughts re my son, girls. He turns 4 in a few weeks. @BlondeinBrisvegas great idea to ask Dr W for the HyCoSy referral. I'm glad it's possible @Chiefsgirl.
@Bongley I'm guessing that second line is looking gorgeous this morning? Good luck for your blood test tomorrow, not that you'll need it!!
@gigangi Im definitely struggling with borderline depression at the moment, thanks to my 3 unsuccessful DE cycles. I find the new area of research on DE DNA super interesting. Thanks for the link.
@Blossom safe travels and stay cool xx.

If I get no PGD normals this next cycle, I'm going on his cancellation list and would also consider Dr Charlotte Mooring who works with him at QFG.

I was very happy with Dr Mooring. She was very patient and switched on. She had an answer for every obscure question I had and I certainly didn't feel like I was being rushed in any way. I'd definitely recommend her.

Hi all. Hoping you're all about to have a bit of a break if not from ivf at least from work. I got a call from my clinic and they are going to give me a low dose of puregon and a trigger on this last fet along with clexane and steroids. I'm not sure if it's the magic bullet but it feels good to know they will do something different for this last attempt and my first det. At least I know I will have maxed them out as a clinic before moving on in the new year.

@Caesardust that was my last protocol too I hope it really works for you.

Gals, everything is good here, line is still nice and dark and I have my blood test tomorrow.

More surprises though, I got a message from the embryologists today, so feeling a bit perplexed I called them back and (to recap) I had 4 blastocysts tested, 1 was abnormal. Well, now it isn't! I didn't quite understand the explanation other than through 'quality control' they discovered this one was possibly normal after all. So we have one in the freezer! If we do decide to transfer then we would have to get all the genetic testing later on.
@Charlie74 so glad the little bub is pulling through, how frightening hope you see Wazza before sept!

Good luck everyone and have a great Christmas
