@Charlie74 - i have two sisters and one I know would do it but she is 40 and has a balanced translocation. If you are close then I think you should definitely ask your sister if you decide to do DE.

I think if we decide were def doing DE I will ask her. With the understanding that under NO circumstances is she allowed to feel guilty if she says no. It would resolve so many issues that race around my head. It would mean the child would still be connected to its family and history. It might create another set of issues down the track (ie finding out ur auntie is ur biological mother), but we are very close, so would always be very involved in each other's lives.

Seeing my niece has def made me feel it's going to be important to at least ask my sister.
@Charlie74 maybe you could mention to her now that you will be considering DE. That gives her a chance to think about it and offer first, if she's inclined.

Haha! Congratulations lovely!! So happy for you. At each scan it became a little more real for me, but to be honest, just over the last few days I can really feel bubba moving around & kicking, not just a few flutters, and now it's starting to seem real. I think we place so much hope on each transfer, but bfn after bfn really starts to knock it out of you. So that when you do get that longed for bfp, it seems too good to be true, and you can't help but be cautious with your emotions. Enjoy every second of it, you deserve it!
(And are we taking bets on blue or pink? When will you tell hubby?)

@Charlie74 I think it's a great idea to ask your sister, especially now that she's had a bub she will know how life-changing and precious it is. My sister offered but as she's over 40 it obviously can't happen, but she would have in a minute. I think it's worth chatting to her about it and seeing if it is a possibility.

I have had a few but I feel much more confident with this donor egg embryo that it will stick around. I bled heavily with my son's BFP so I never thought that would last. Was perplexed to get a positive at the blood test and the scan showing a heartbeat. Yes, I guess that is when it starts feeling real.

After 8 more OE cycles after that and 2 PGD normal FET failures I just got used to it not working I guess.

What a wonderful amount of Xmas hope you've spread to all of us. Thank-you Incy.
I wonder if it was the different FET protocol that made the different or the superb quality of Incy or it was just your time. Happy happy days.
Yes, he's been in the POAS loop I'm not sure how to tell him the sex yet. I was thinking of putting some cryptic message in a little wrapped up box for him to open with his pressies on christmas day or getting my son to tell him somehow. I don't want to be too mushy but I'd like it to be special.

Who knows what worked, having a fully hatched embryo made from a 25 year old's egg helped I'm sure! I've also had a variety of things clear up since I've been on the prednisone.

One thing I'm not sure of is when to tell my close mate who has just gone through her last ever round of IVF we've been sharing blow by blow updates of our cycles, she's just on hols at the minute. She's had an awful time of it and now yet another person is going to be UTD

@Precious40 Congrats on your gorgeous egg numbers. Fingers firmly crossed for wonderful fertilization results!
@Charlie74 Good luck planting the seed in your sisters mind about egg donation. My guess is the timing won't be right for about 3 months...once she starts coming out of the newborn fog. I hope your little niece continues to get positive news over the coming days.
@JulieMalooley How many weeks are you now? I hope it was the start of movement that you felt so you can start to bond even further with your daughters. I've just made contact with Dr M up in Sydney. They're calling me back with a phone apt time but it's not looking like I can get one until Feb.
