It was unfortunate (in so many ways, of course) that DH was not there, because he never felt this was real. But he never had the build up and let down of expecting to see a bubba and a HB and in the end just seeing a still screen. It was very real to me.

I think it's best to take someone with you. Not that I expect a single thing to be wrong love, but I really wish now that I had someone with me for support. Even if my story had turned out differently I would still have liked DH to have been there to see bubba for the first time.

I was exactly the same. My DH can't get away from work very easily as he is often working out of town. It's a hard thing to go through on your own. I still had all my early scans alone this time as well though, DH would have loved to come, but some things can't be helped. He did come to the morphology one though, and now that he can feel the little kicks it all become more real. As we don't have a nickname for bubba, I suggested to him the other day that we better start calling the baby something other than "it" (as we don't know the sex) and he told me in his head he calls it "Jonesy"?!? WTF
Not sure why, strange man lol

I'm hoping that the one with the VCI isn't under sized at the next scan.
Btw, has anyone seen the whale shark footage that channel 7 are playing to death at the moment? That's my DP touching it, and his mate being interviewed. I'm so jealous. They go fishing regularly for 3-4 day stints (DP has a commercial fishing licence) and see whales and sharks all the time, and now a whale shark !! He won't take me whale watching because they are old news to him. Well buddy, I haven't seen a real whale yet !!! Me, me, me, me, me !!!
I just googled it, hello Mr Malooley! I'd love to see a whale shark.

I can't believe how far along you and @Chiefsgirl are, well done you two nearly there........

Gosh I'm not really good at this stuff! How do you know?
You need to push quite firmly around where you think it is and you should be able to feel where it starts. I just walk my fingers down starting at the ribs. It feels quite hard compared to the rest of your belly.
