Tahli, I'll have a think about it. maybe I will call again tomorrow and just ask K. I honestly don't think they will budge on it even on Dr M's recommendation but I guess it will give a definitive answer!
Sorry... I was thinking Dr M could refer you to St Andrew's if that was cheaper... or better yet can he refer you to a local hospital near you with his preferred dose? I gather he has patients all over Australia, so he might know of one he can refer you to in Melbourne, or could you ring the one in Melbourne that does it and check if they'd accept a referral from him? Patients on holidays often need transfusions, so you'd think they'd have some flexibility?

It won't make LB angry if you go against her wishes?

@Blossom74 that's great news for you 😀. My friend is a cancer so I better tell her she is having a baby in September. Hope the stars do align for you Hun and you have success this month. I live in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Nowhere exciting. Curious about where you are, have a feeling you may be near Bright and jealous as I love Bright. If so, I am going there in April so put the kettle on and I will let you know what to bake for me 😀
@Charlie74 I haven't found a doctor in Melbourne doing 500mls of slow infusion. I am over asking around and wondering what to do. I will go to Sydney. I am lucky though in that I have frequent flyer points. I feel it is a waste to use them on Melbourne to Sydney flights but I was adding up the costs of everything and my eyes were starting to water.

Welcome back @Blossom74 I'm in Sydney. P!ssing down with rain right now, ready to see some sunshine I think. I lived in the UK for 17 years and I didn't move over here for this!

Hope the horoscope proves true, I'm a boring Libra.
@Charlie74 it sounds really tricky balancing two doctors with different approaches, I don't envy you getting it right! I think Genea did just the 200mls as well but I didn't try asking for more.

you're off the blocks @greenlady! Go Go BFP, woot woot!
@Sue77 really hope those two normal PGD embryos were just unlucky (like my two) or you can get some other treatment and won't have to go the surrogacy route.....

@calypso75 I'm also Melb eastern suburbs. I have a feeling @Blossom74 wishes she lived near Bright??
@Gagingi I don't think any-one else other than LB and NL at Monash Epworth Richmond offer intralipids. I'm happy to be corrected.

@Caesardust I had a read of Petal40's link and it says DTD (particularly if you enjoy it) is helpful as it increases blood flow to the uterus and apparently this helps implantation and the embie over the first couple of months. My DH researched this (funny that!) and apparently sperm is helpful too, but I'm not sure about vasectomy factor (my DH has motility and morphology issues). FS also said it is shown to be helpful, but indicated that they aren't really sure how/why. I suspect our FS would also encourage it as he is very mindful of the stress of IVF and the strain it puts on couples, where DTD can of course increase intimacy - if you can bear it. I'm not shocked by your comments and imagine many of us have had similar thoughts.

@Blossom74 - I live 30km west of Brisvegas ( that's about as descriptive as I'd like to get!). I'm a Gemini will have to look up my star sign prediction ).
@Gagingi - going ok thanks . Day 5 today so started the orgalutran today. First scan not til Monday morning when I'm back to work. Always nervous that I'll get to the scan and nothing will be growing . Can't take anything for granted at our age despite past cycles. Hope you're enjoying your mini break til you start next cycle - you're doing another banking cycle aren't you rather than doing another transfer at this stage .

@Blossom74 Our profiles have our postcodes (I think). Im in good old Sydney. But born & bred in a small country town, which is still very much in my speech, despite my corporate position (as my city work colleagues remind me as I call everyone 'mate'). Mum is 1 of 10, I am 1 of 5, so infertility shouldn't be in my genes!

    Cheers mate 👍🏻
