    Default IVF over 40#23

@Tahli Ok Luv, been trawling through reading about other women's protocols for FET using Viagara/Patches/Progynova.

As I said earlier, it seems some women are doing 1-2 patches every other day and some are starting at one patch then increasing to 2 a couple of days later then to 3 another 2 days later then up to 4 and maintaining that amount for the duration!!!

With you, I think 1 patch every other day plus the Viagara pessaries (Dr Sher prefers to do 20mg pessaries 4 x a day) plus the Progynova pill which you can either do all again orally like you were or else do all of them orally but 2 pills and whack them up your VJay Jay instead (as that's what most of the women are being prescribed....either 6 mg's orally and between 2-6mg's up the VJay Jay in combination with the patches and/or Viagara). It seems most started all of this on either CD 1 or 2.

Might not hurt to survey the Lovelies on the SA thread too just to see if any of them have used the patches??? Anyhoo...hope this helps Luv

    Default IVF over 40 #22

@Tahli So sorry no lines yet, but it's still early. I hope you get some over the next day. I have used patches for my FETs, 1 every 3 days, plus 2mg Progynova 3x a day, and Crinone timed a few days before transfer. Everyone responds differently to meds, just thought I'd let you know what worked for me x

I've just done a sneaky arvo POAS at 12.5dpo and it was the same as this mornings, a bfn. So after a few days of being able to see evap lines, indent lines or whatever they were I'm back to stark super white negatives.
If I'm honest, I feel really bloody sad...and crampy. Lastnight I sneezed and the sharp shooting pain across my lower tummy made me scream out loud in pain. Proper high pitched screaming. I was in agony. I had it the night before when I lifted my 15kg son up too, but without the scream. I wondered about an ectopic but presumed the hcg from it would have show up by now.
@Gagingi I enquired about PGS when I chose my ED and was told it wasn't really necessary. I've learnt my lesson, and would without a shadow of doubt, do it if I find myself having to start with a new donor. Ive questioned so many times if something changed for my ED in the cycle she donated for me. Maybe it didn't but that seed of doubt is always there. It would be hard not to use her again as she produced 28 eggs for me.
@BlondeinBrisvegas you're a super star. I'm going to thoroughly go over your lining info tonight. I know you're pushed for time at the moment so a huuuuge thanks.
@Petal40 Ta heaps Hun. I'm going to make notes of your protocol too. I'm going to have a new FS for CT next time so I can put all of this info to her and get a fresh perspective which I'm very very much looking forward to.

@Summer @Tahli I am so sorry to you both. It is just not fair, I hope you are both okay. @Bongley good luck would love to see a BFP before xmas this thread needs another BFP there has just been too much sadness @Blossom thank you for your information I am sorry about your bird been unwell I don't know anything about them either. Just a quick one wanted to let you all know I have the info on travelling donors they are coming to Brisbane Australia in March next year and it is through Warren so I am in & I have a leaflet of info including prices ect if anyone is interested send me a PM and I will forward it on. I spoke to warren this avo and he said I will be good to go by March as well. He said I could keep using my own eggs and I may eventually get a BFP but he said it could take many more cycles to get the right one or I can try DE and have much better chances. I had already pressed send on the registration form by the end of our conversation. I can't tell you how excited I am for this next phase.

@Maxwellsmum mentioned this thread on how supportive it is. It resonated to me when she said that the monthly IVF threads move so quick. Im just wondering if you are open to a lady about to hit 39? Complete respect if not. My AMH is 9.4 and we have secondary infertility, with ttc#2 since our son was 18 mths old. Well he is now 8, so its been a bit of a long road. After 7yrs of arguing & turning my other half around to IVF, we have just failed our first IVF. I had 2 eggs retrieved (not a high achiever apparently) 1 fertilised ICSI, transferred the battler on day 3, but no love there. We are backing up in Feb for cycle 2.

Open to any feedback. Completely understand Im not naughty forty. xx

Welcome billie2. Sorry to hear your first cycle failed. Hopefully your treatment plan can be tweaked a bit and you have success in February.

Winsor glad to hear your frostie has arrived safely at its new temporary home until you are its home for 9 months.

    Bongley congrats on being pupo.

Tahli sorry to hear it is still a bfn for you. You are doing everything possible and i really hope your next transfer is the one.

Blonde thanks so much for posting that info about lining for Tahli. I have also taken some notes.

Summer I hope the second line comes back for you tonight.

Blossom I hope the bird is ok. I have never had a bird so don't know what they are like. I thought a bird was dying in my garden the other day. It was slumped against a wall with its head to the side. I went out to rescue it and it flew off. Maybe your bird is just a bit hot and that is its way of coping.
