    Default Crafty proper adulting mummies.....

I want to create Santa footprints from the chimney to the backyard so the boys can see they have a new trampoline on Xmas morning (no point leaving a note, they can't read). I though there was such a thing as snow in a can and a footprint stencil you could buy but I've yet to see it anywhere. I was thinking maybe creating my own stencil and using flour but I'm worried it'll just create a fecking mess. Its going on a brick hearth, then floorboards. Any clues or ideas? I don't want to just cut out paper footprints, I want it to look as realistic as possible (you know, Santa traipsing snow around a house in the middle of summer and all...😂).

I use talcum powder sprinkled onto the bottom of a pair of boots to make footprints. Sometimes the kids will sprinkle powder around the door/tree to see if they can "catch" Santa's footprints...same with the Easter Bunny

We did this for the easter bunny - cut out the shape from a piece of plastic and used watered down washable white paint (on dark vinyl floors) using a foam roller. The bunny went a bit crazy and ended up jumping on cars, the windows etc - yes there was wine involved.
