Default Fundraising for IVF/ICSI please help

    Hi,

I am not sure if I am allowed to post this here, please delete if inappropriate. My husband and I need help with ICSI cost and have just set up a fundraising page. If you could help or maybe could share this on your social media page would be greatly appreciated. We had borrowed money to pay a $12000 IVF bill and with medicare rebate and using what we have in savings have managed to payback some of it but need help with the rest. Thank you so much for your kindness in helping us have a baby.

Have you looked into a low cost clinic (unless of course you have complex infertility)? They are only $500-$2700. Many of us on here had had great success with such clinics.

Hi, thanks for responding. My GP recommended the fertility specialist we went to due to not only my PCOS and Endometriosis, but also my husband's low sperm count. We didn't think of looking elsewhere, but if this cycle does not go through it would be an option to consider.

Definitely look elsewhere. Our issues are Very low sperm (0.3mil/mL), pcos, endo and a blocked tube. Every fs should be able to deal with such issues. I've had four full cycles and have one baby and one on the way thanks to a low cost clinic. All of the doctors that work at the low cost clinics are the same doctors that work at the expensive clinics. There is nothing wrong with leaving a clinic just before you start a cycle either, I left two days before I was to start injecting. If you want PM me your doctors name and I can tell you if they are at a low cost clinic (I've looked into all of them).

Hmmm now I wish we had looked around before starting this cycle. My doctor is Anusch Yazdani at Eve Health. 6 fertilised eggs with only one making it to blastocyst stage, which was transferred yesterday.

Haha of all drs he is one of the few who don't, although, all of his colleagues do work at The Fertility Centre on Sprigwood where I have had all my cycles. Here's hoping this little one sticks and you don't need to think about it for a long time to come.
