    Default Christmas presents for parents?

What is everyone getting their parents (or IL's or anyone that fits this kind of age bracket) this Christmas?

I am yet to buy anything for mum and dad and time is running out

    I need inspiration - stat!

All this talk of photo gifts reminded me that I've already bought my mum one thing - a photo calendar. I will still get her something else.

I have nothing for my dad yet - dads can be hard to buy for!

I do a basket for my parents/in laws. Always Includes Santa photos and this year it will have (all home made)
    Shortbread
    Salted caramel fudge
    Strawberry jam
    Lemon butter
    Regular rocky road
    Popcorn and honeycomb rocky road

And I'm going to use fabric paint on a tea towel each to put in there. MIL will have chicken handprints as that's her thing. My mum I'm not sure yet.

My parents that's all, FIL may get something else and give the above to MIL. We always have this dilemma each year that they go overboard but we can't afford (and I don't think it's reasonable) to spend $50+ on each person in the family. Problem is they never seem overly excited about anything we get them so it's awkward.

We're going to go in with DH's siblings and step sister to get my in laws a family photo shoot.

We got my step father socks (there is an in joke, and they are those explorer socks that he loves but won't buy for himself).

My dad is getting chocolates because he gets upset if we buy him anything too much.

    Mum... no ideas yet.

They'll all also get some shortbread and santa photos. Oh, and salt dough ornaments of DS's hand and foot prints.

We bought tickets for them to attend a ODI. They love cricket and have everything they need.
