    Default HCG accuracy for dating

I had blood test done to confirm pregnancy and Dr seems to think my dates are different to my calculations. How accurate are HCG levels at determining weeks roughly? There is a difference of 4 weeks between LMP based dates and HCG dates from Dr. I have my dating scan referral but no idea when to go now since the difference.
Can anyone help me out here?

And no I don't know what the HCG levels were, I should have asked but I completely forgot.

Hcg levels can vary hugely, i dont think it can used that accurately, more of a guideline. Best way to get your EDD is to have a dating scan. Congrats 😀

It's not accurate at all! If you have regular cycles of about 28 days I would go with 40 weeks from the first day of your LMP until you have your dating scan and then go with that date which is pretty accurate.

Thanks. That's what I thought but when you're left alone with information for long enough you start to question things.

For the record, I was correct. Only off by a couple of days.
