Dp and I don't have stockings but the kids do. I usually buy myself something and wrap it and say it's from Santa. Dp birthday is on Christmas day so I write merry birthday Even though he will get birthday presents later.
The kids get the usual clothes in the stocking too and just a heap of little things that will get used like, bath bombs, bubble blowers etc.

The clothes just gives them something else to unwrap which I'm sure is my kids favourite thing!

I do the kids stockings and dp and I have a thing where we do each other's stockings, makes it a bit of fun finding silly and useful tidbits for each other.

Not presents in that I don't wrap them up and put them under the tree. However whilst I am out shopping I may as well treat myself to a new dress/shoes etc. I figure I am spending money anyway, and it's nice to have some new things to start the new year.

Some years DH and I exchange presents, some years we don't. This year we are for the first time in ages, which is nice because we're not really exchanging presents with rest of adult family so it's the only gift we'll get.

Default Do you buy yourself Christmas presents?

No - something seems wrong/off about buying presents for yourself

I was with DH this year when we bought our pressies for each other.
I'm going to grab another couple of little things for him (including some pretty undies for me to wear ) and he might do the same (not the undies)

For us, we don't really care about the pressies for each other but it's about the kids.

Nope, can never really justify it for myself. Single mum of three kids, all of my family is interstate. The last three years I've gotten no Xmas or birthday presents from anyone. I was alone all of Xmas last year, kids were with their dad. This year we will be with family interstate so I may finally get something?

Nope i dont buy things for myself for xmas.
DH & i are both of the mindset to buy things when we need them so theres not usually much left to buy for xmas & i dont like buying things for the sake of them.
We're waiting to seal the deal on a property in the next week so that'll be our very expensive xmas present for the next 25yrs.lol
