@frogpossum it's a relief you've had a diagnosis for ur little one its just the horrible part of treating it, I've heard it can be fairly painless when they are younger but I've never assisted with one, you mite be more distressed then he is because of having to hold him down, your doing the right thing not waiting until he is older as you'll need to re address speech ect and he may find it rather traumatic @Bellydance @Rarah11 I'm 22 weeks on Tuesday and been on bed rest after the stitch was put in on Friday, had scan yesterday morning was only quick and an abdo one and he said I'm funnelling down to the stitch ffs that really upset me, I will be having a proper vaginal scan tomoro afternoon that will tell us exactly how much up the cervix was stitched and if there's any length above the stitch, I really need some good news I'm just so emotionally exhausted, I need to ban myself from Google also. Bedrest is just mentally hard because I think a lot and can't do anything physical to release my fears and anxiety, it's also sinking in now it all happened so quickly.
I was ment to go home yesterday but had a slight temp so he said I'm not leaving until it's gone I'll be on anti biotics until baby is born so no infection can start.
Hoping tomoro is good news I'm just so over being told bad news

@Molros @Rarah11 I'm doing well so far was discharged on Monday
We had the scan and the stitch was placed 2.6cm high so he was really happy with that only 1mm and small amount of funnelling above the stitch but he didn't say much, I'm not sure if the length will get much more because on the Thursday my cervix was only 2.1cm so he did I good job getting it up as high as he did.
Trying to stay off google I'm worried about the funnelling but worrying won't Change anything.
Will see him again next Monday, trying to keep busy by reading books, watching presto, calling insurance places and bargaining with them to give me better deals lol
Also got a PlayStation with crash bandicoot and other small things. Dp has been amazing helping out, mums cooking dinners so we just re heat them and now it's just take one day as it comes.
I get regular braxton hicks which annoy and worry the hell out of me sometimes I'll get them every 15mins for hours on end and certain positions I lay In trigger them so been trying to reduce them as much as I can, pretty sure I have an irritable uterus (self diagnosed of course lol)
My highlight of the day is the mail man and breakfast lunch and dinner. I really hope things start looking up and I can do abit more but if I need to stay on bed rest I will I'm more than grateful to even be carrying this baby so if bed rest is the worst part so be it

Hi @miissalina with my 1st pregnancy I was having irregular tightenings from about 31 weeks I was put on bed rest in hospital for 2 days so they could monitor me and it stopped then sent me home and 2 days later they came back. I also had bleeding when the tightenings started. I was in hospital for a week but all was ok so they discharged me home again. They said I had irritable uterus and said if I got regular tightenings to rest it's my body telling me I'm doing too much. I was not put on any medication. With in a couple of weeks it went away. At 38 weeks was induced due to preeclampsia but ended up with emergency csection due to the placenta starting to come away from the uterus. But my story is different from yours and your a lot earlier into your pregnancy than I was.

I might not post much on here but I'm reading all the posts and thinking of everyone xx

@Nezz79 HELLOO!!!! How have you and bubs been, thank you for responding it makes me feel better knowing I'm not completely abnormal. I have good and bad days and yesterday was horrible they didn't stop not painful just constant even last night they kept going. Today it's been better they still come and go but like they have weeks ago and not too noticeable. Lol although I think I'm having a reaction to the drug that stops contractions it's ment for high blood pressure and mines always been low last night it was 95/49, today it's been higher, also getting head pounding and weird sensations in my chest when I breath maybe TMI but at 10am my vagina was huge honestly like someone had come along and inflated it with air both in and outter I was in shock it's back to normal now though, I decided to read side effects and a rare one is swelling of genitals I'll keep taking it but talk with ob on Monday, another thing I can't take , my body is one rare specimen

You poor thing I really feel for you! I would worry too it's hard not to. But I would be seeing your OB for sure. Both of my pregnancies were different too. I bled off and on for most of my twin pregnancy which they could not explain why. But some women just do and quite common in twin pregnancies.

The twins are doing well. They are 8.5 months now and are commando crawling and both have two bottom teeth each!

I am heading back to work in January which is a little earlier than I expected but I have to as we found out that I am pregnant! We fell naturally not even trying. We were in shock for a long time and it took my hubby ages to believe it as we had male infertility and were told we wouldn't be able to conceive naturally. Well we proved them wrong. Just had my FTS this week and came back low risk so all good. I'm due on the 17th June but will be 10th prob due to csection.

Hope you get some answers when you see your OB and keep us updated on how your going. I'm thinking of you xx
