Default Short LP - How to fix?

Hoping for some advice about how to lengthen a short luteal phase?

Mine isn't terribly short, 11 days, but I do think it's hindering us from getting our BFP.

I tried taking vitex this month, started on CD1. Ended up not O'ibg until CD22 (I usually O on CD17/18 )! I also found that it gave me incurable thrush (3 treatments did nothing and it only went away when I stopped taking it).

So...is there anything else that can help me??

Vitamin B6 apparently, but I think you need to take it with other B vitamins so taking a Mega B product is good. Just from the chemist etc and not super expensive.

I actually have a short LP too, 10 - 11 days and am currently 11w2d so there is hope for us short lp girls.

My kids were conceived on vitex (chaste berry). I have a very short LP (8 days sometimes) and it lengthened it to 12.

Thanks @lauzie & congrats on your pregnancy

I've taken b vitamins in the past and they gave me acne! Lol, my body is a b!tch to me sometimes
But I'll put up with the acne if it means I get a BFP. I'll give it a go.

You can use progesterone oil or cream taken from ovulation to the end of your cycle.

Oh what a pain!!!! Worth a shot again, hopefully they don't give you pimples again!

Otherwise have you thought of doing acupuncture? I did it after my mc for 2 cycles and got my bfp on the 3rd cycle. It felt good and was helping to get my inside all good and ready for bub. It can be a bit expensive but I really enjoyed it and still go once a week now.

Do you need a prescription for that? If so, would a gp prescribe it would I have to go a GYN?

I did acupuncture before getting pregnant with DS. I do think it helped, but we're having to renovate and sell our housr for health reasons, asap! (Long story). So we can't justify the cost right now

If you haven't already try acupuncture. Find an acupuncturist that specialises in fertility (you can often find recommendations through fertility clinics etc).

I had a very short LP and first cycle I had acupuncture i ovulated day 19 and fell pregnant that cycle. I'm now 27 weeks 😊. Previously my whole cycle was only about 22 days.

My acupuncturist also had me taking Chinese herbs.

Looks like I might have to get back into accupuncture once our house is sorted! Hopefully a bfp will happen in the meantime, but if not I'll definitely book in for an acupuncturist again.
