    Default Ftb question! Urgent!!

Hey guys I'm new to the site, just thought I'd ask as have been waiting for 5weeks how long family tax benefit claims take to process? Like the max time?

I've also been cut off my rent assistance as I am livin with parents and because I'm 24 and you can't get rent assistance unless your over 25 when living with parents, unless you have a dependent child which I do his 2years old now but I've never received a cent for him.

So my question is how much longer will it take, as centrelink told me that once ftb is processed I'll be back paid for the rent assistance since last year?

Any information needed I'll be happy to provide, and oh all documents and everything they needed were handed in within the first few days 😐

It can take ages but shouldn't take that long. Last year I hadn't heard anything for over 6 weeks so gave them a call. Once I got through, I was told if they have your application for 6 or more weeks they can process it right then and there over the phone. Maybe give them a call. Good luck
