    Default Can you use a computer around a toddler??

    I need to do my online shop. I used dd2's nap time cleaning the bathroom and if I don't do now won't get the morning slot. She's watching tv now it's the only thing I can use to use pc without her thinking she has to climb onto table and 'help'! I saw this photo the other day of milk meg breastfeeding a toddler while on the computer so I feel like maybe other people can do these things without always using tv!
    Not sure this makes sense shooting off quickly before I do that shop...
    What do peeps who work from home do?!? I do heaps of bill paying and emails at night but with older kids not in bed til 8.30/9 and me gone by 10 kinda run out of time!

    Hahahaha, sorry had to laugh! Use a computer while my DS is around?? Not a chance in hell!!!

    He always has to 'help' as well. I even tried getting him his own toy laptop to play with, nope, not as interesting as mums!

    I either wait for his nap/bedtime, or just have to put up with him hanging off me whinging and trying to climb up me and press all the keys...

    Yeah - does not happen. Sometimes if I give the ipad he is fostracted by peppa pig but usually he wants to 'help'.

    Definitely no chance of using the computer with toddlers around! DS is now 3 and still wants to be on my lap 'helping'. Drives me a little crazy too when I need to get something done straight away. You're definitely not alone.

    Ha ha ok thanks seem unanimous toddler and computer don't mix! Mine has her own toy one too but not the same.

    I can actually use the computer around DD. She doesn't generally bother me at all! She did to start with but I persevered and made it all rather boring for her, lol, and now she couldn't care less.

    Nope. Not even tv helps. For about 10 minutes today DD played outside before realising I was on the computer.
    I can't get a thing done!
