Another quick post. @Gelati: all was good until DS woke up from his nap in the car and i was still stuck in the freeway traffic. He was screaming. Turned on the radio, didn't work. Well, i just had to let him cry. I knew that he couldn't be hungry!!! It took a long time to work with the car than a train. I just don't think he is ready to go on the train because he can't sleep in the pram. It will make things worse. His short sleep cycle has nothing to do with the stomach. Certainly a sleep regression. 1.5 hrs is an adult sleep cycle. Baby's sleep will work more like an adult by 4 months when their brain mature. Some babies experience it full on, some don't. Given that DS is a poor sleeper, I am not surprised that we have this sleep regression problem.

Sigh.....I am like a zombie. DH suggested me to sleep in the car for 30 mins after dropping DS off to the babysitter before the meeting. I seriously considered it! DH didn't go to work today because he was so sick. Handling DS back home this evening will be even more "fun" because it will be close to his feed time and he is always fussy in the end evening.

He was very cranky when we stopped by the babysitter house yesterday. I just wanted him to meet the sitter before dropping him off this morning. We had an invite to the boss house last night. DH couldn't go but i promised to stop by. I was sitting in the car in front of his house waiting DS to wake up from his nap thinking it was a totally bad idea given what happened at the sitter house. Surprisingly, he was well behaved, didn't set out a big cry. I was the one feeling stress the entire time! He was happily sitting in the bouncer while i ate and entertained him at the same time. My colleague helped a little. Everyone seemed to get the wrong impression about him. LOL. I left earlier because DS started to get fussy and it had passed his bed time. He took a nap in the car and went straight to bed when we got home. Still, his night sleep is pretty bad.

@Minib - yes I find my voice helps a little but not sure if it's enough for a long drive l. If dd cries for a long time do you pull over?

He's been sleeping in a cot at my mums but last night was first night in our cot. He slept 9:30 - 6 then 7-9:30. Then another 1.5hrs. I think he just has much more fun at grandparents and it wears him out. Last night he fell asleep on the bottle with no playtime! I'm looking into gymbaroo. Think he's gonna be very active boy! Lots of sport!

    How'd you go today @bbhope?

Checked out another Childcare but think the one I'm going to is better. It's huge with such big areas for play and lots of big trees and grassy areas. They're expanding even further. This one is also 0-2 yrs old and the one I'm in is 0-1 i think or 0-1.5.

Just saw your post bbhope. Babies are so unpredictable. But luckily he was good for you at boss house. Or is that lucky? Maybe you prefer to be fussy so ppl can see? Ds seems to like going out now and is usually good out. So I try to go out everyday to give him some variety and wear him out.

Hope you aren't too worn out at work today. I can't imagine going back to work already. You certainly are tough.

Just before i jump off the thread. @Minib: i am getting conflicting info about lip tie and tongue tie atm. Some say i don't have to wait until later. Different kind of surgery etc. A friend of mine is strongly against me getting DS fixed. All things on the internet suggest to get it done. One of my colleagues actually has tongue tie and didn't get it fixed at all. She seems to do fine.

@bbhope I did hear severe tongue tie can cause speech difficulty? Not sure but good to do some independent research.

@Minib I'm gonna ask MHN this Friday if ds has top lip tie cos I looked today and he may have? Geez I hope not!

Default Day 5 blasto FET on day 4? #3

I am off to bed soon. Freaking tired. Another night shift. Oh....new drama with the new babysitter. Long story. Basically, she commented so much that I feel like a bad mom. Also, I don't like to explain to a stranger why I gave up breast feeding. A lot of ppl roll their eyes when I say formula feeding -- includes a friend recently who says baby with allergy because I don't breastfeed.
@Gelati: of course I was very proud of DS. He did well for mommy at the boss house. Yes it does affect speech. Depends how severe. My colleague did fine. Interesting enough that a friend's son who has speech problem and tongue tie, She and her husband don't think it is anything to do with it.

@bbhope that's rubbish that your sitter made lots of comment. I get really annoyed. We are trying our best. We don't need other people making us feel bad. In terms of feeding, your Bub is fed. Isn't that the most important thing?? Who cares if he's BF or bottle fed? Could you imagine if you also stress about BF or your supply issue. How can you function on top of all other things to worry about.

Speaking of BF, I think the time has come for me too. My milk has reduced significantly overnight. No wonder she kept crying on my boons yesterday. I could try to build it again by taking motilium and pumping day and night but I think I'm done. I lasted 11 weeks - short of my original goal of 6 months but 5 weeks more than my revised goal of 6 weeks. I'd love to BF her longer but in the last week she kept hitting me when I BF her.
@bbhope how many days are you working this week? Poor thing. Sleep deprivation is a killer. I had to ask DH to do the night shift last night. I got up to express but she didn't get up at the same time. I was so tired. Still am. Think I'm getting sick.
@Gelati I pull over if dd cries for a log time. Especially if she's hysterical and no sign of winding down.

I am meant to check out 2 more cc. It varies so much in price as well yeah. How much are you paying @Gelati?

@bbhope that really annoys me! why do people feel like they have the right to pass judgement like that. Especially people who aren't even parents themselves. Although sometimes i think that they can be excused because they just don't understand. But those who are parents should know how hard it can be and have some more empathy or sympathy if they had it easier. It seems to be women as well. They are the ones who judge and criticise. We are all doing our best. Not like we are just going, oh yeh whatevers. We are breaking our backs trying to do the best for our babies to the point where we can't even look after ourselves. So basically we are killing ourselves just so our babies have it as best as we can humanly give them. @bbhope you've had a really really hard time with basically little to no help. You've had to go back to work after only 3-4 mths off and you are doing it with barely any sleep. Don't listen to those people. If you could have breastfed you would have. We all would have if it was so easy. Your friend has no idea why your baby has an allergy. When did she get a medical degree? When did she become an expert in your son's health?
@Minib - well done you. 11 weeks is an amazing achievement. And as you once told me, it's the most important time that's passed as from 12 week on babies stomachs start to become fully developed. You have done awesome for your daughter who by the sounds of it is doing amazing on formula. What more could you ask for really Do you think you'll continue to pump? I've stopped pumping at night the last 2 nights. I know 2 people now who don't pump overnight and have no issues so i refuse to think why i should! haha. SO far no issues but i'm still massaging and feeling for lumps. it also means i don't need to sleep the third batch of sleep (or second if ds sleeps through the night) and i can get up and get dressed, have breakfast and just get ready for the day while ds does his last 1.5-2 hrs before the day starts. Still aiming to get to the library today and this helps cos i'm ready so all i need to do is feed him when he's up and go

@Gelati what you wrote to bbhope - I completely agree. You wrote it better than me. Seriously people can back off if they don't have any words of encouragement.

I will continue to pump as long as she can sleep more than one sleep cycle. Otherwise I won't have time to eat. I want to keep pumping for a bit hoping it can help her poo issue. She's been crying heaps this morning. Tummy ache. Poor bubba. People told me to stop pumping at night as well and the supply will be ok. I didn't dare to do it but I think it could work. A mum I know only BF her baby and doesn't pump at night. Baby sleeps through 8-7 at 9 weeks! Wow!!!!

DD is catnapping again today. Argh! Doing my head in.

I think you have a good rhythm there. Get ready before DS is up. Did you manage to go to the library today?
