@Gelati what vitamin would you recommend? I'm having the lactation cookies. Will that help?

This arvo no formula at all. She's unsettled. I've been feeding pretty much all afternoon. She had a 45 mins uninterrupted nap. Then more feeding. She fell asleep on my boobs a few times so I had to stop and only start again when she's fully awake.

DH supports me to try but I can tell he doesn't like to see her cry.

@Minib I'm take funnelgreek and Brewers yeast. Lactation cookies should help from what I've heard. I know it's so hard watching them cry if breaks your heart. I feed Bub as long as it's been 2 hrs since the start of last feed. That's normally a 30-40min sleep. But now that he's not feeling well I'll feed him whenever but because he's unwell he's sleeping heaps today so feeding less. Poor little thing so tired 😓 But as long as he's not crying and fussing should be ok yeh? I'm still monitoring his temp and hasn't exceeded 37.8 while breastfeeding. That's the highest. Urgh it's so hard not to worry.

@Gelati thanks I'm going to look at fenugreek. Got some lactation cookies for next week. Fingers crossed. Mum is going to ask around for some Chinese supplement to increase milk too.

Oh your poor bubba. Would be so sad to see him unwell. Let him sleep a bit more. And monitor his temperature. If it's gets to 38 give him some panadol. Better than being sick.

You've got the Braun thermometer yeah? That's pretty accurate. Hard not to worry though. Really hard b

@Minib oh yes I had Chinese herbs too and still only just enough lol

Bub slept total of 5 hrs this arvo which is huge for him. He was very lethargic but has woken up better. Temp down to 37.2 while breastfeeding now. He's not fussing or crying just tired. Will continue to to monitor him. He's my little trooper!

How did your Bub go this arvo?

Sounds like his temperature is going down. Good work little champ!

This arvo was tough. No formula for her. She's very upset and cranky. She rejected my boobs a few times cos she's so upset. I fed pretty much around the clock. No rest yet. Managed to eat dinner quickly and now abut to feed again

@Gelati: u already knew, above 37c is fever. I didn't give Bub any panadol since the max is 37.8. If it was 38, I would give him. It took him about a day to get back to normal temp buy his appetite was back in the afternoon. He also slept longer at the time.

@Minib: be aware that some Chinese herbs can be harmful for baby. I tried fenugreek but it didn't work. I am on mortilium. As crazy as it sound, I am still taking it. I am taking the low dose so I still produce some milks and no need to pump. Breasts are rather soft. I am only doing BF as top up now. Once I finish the last pack of mortilium, I will be officially off BF. :"(

You did great @bbhope. sleep rates above breastfeeding for me esp when you can only get a little at a time it's very precious.

The thing with medication is when you stop your supply goes back down. The only thing that worked for me at week 3 onwards was expressing religiously after each feed during the day.

Oh I thot Fever was anything above 37.5. Bub just slept another 4.5 hrs and officially the temp is gone. He is 36.4. Yay! Will continue to monitor tho.
