@bbhope my friends baby also have lactose intolerant and made her life h3ll. But once they've diagnosed it, they switched formula and my friend stopped eating any dairy as she was also breastfeeding. Baby is much better after that. Good idea to investigate that.

That's awesome about the swing. Whatever works is great. Your son might be sleeping longer next time

I don't know how one would be easily diagnosed with lactose intorelance. I am sure that bub was lactose overload in early day when we were stupidly feeding him 120ml when he was just a 2w old! Confused reflux etc for hunger. Now, we regulate his feed and I am dropping out BF (sadly).

I'm not sure how they diagnosed it. It wasn't newborn. Quite a few weeks in actually.

Quick question - after applying lansinoh nipple cream do I have to wash them before feeding Bub?

@bbhope that's so great to hear the swing works for Bub and your friend was able to help. Hopefully he starts to sleep longer bouts from now on. I always worry Bub has lactose intolerance too. Today we give some formula top up cos I had to go to ob for checkup and he's been crap all day. Makes me automatically think it's lactose intolerance. I might ask paed tmr about it. That's a shame you can't take the vacant position. When are you booked in? I thot Bub was getting better as last 4 days have been quite consistent then bam today a nightmares. At first I thot he had a temperature he felt so hot but no. Anyways let me know how you go, if Bub continues like this I'll be taking him in too.

@Minib - I was the same but seriously whatever helps. I use dummy now as well but problem is half the time he doesn't take it. Just do what you need to and give your nipples a break. Prevention is better than cute. Rite aid gel pads and lanisoh cream really helped me during my early days. I had the pads on whenever I wasn't feeding.

Dh came home and managed to get Bub down after 30min of soothing. Thank god for him. He is so patient with him. Bub has been down 40min now but I'm hoping for 2 hrs as he's barely slept today. I feel so bad for him seeing him so upset. I start sweating and my heart rate increases.

Default Day 5 blasto FET on day 4? #3

@Minib: no need to wipe off.
@Gelati: that swing is magic. I don't know why they don't sell this type in Australia. I have to resettle him every so often but at least he falls asleep by himself!

Oh...I am booked in at the end of next week. Wish it is sooner.

Your DH is gold. My DH has no patient to soothe bub. He just tells him off every time when he cries for a long time. I feel like he transfers the anxiety or frustration to him.

@Minib no need to wipe off. I've been using it on his lips as he's had cracked lips from always having saliva on them.

@bbhope yeh wonder why they don't sell it here if it's so handy. What's it called?

Bub has been down for 2 hrs now. Yay!!! If I was at home by myself today I'm not sure I would have coped with that kind of crying. It was truly horrible.

I'm recovering well. A bit of fluid retention and a haemorrhoid otherwise I'm good.

My Bub has been sleeping for 3 hours after last feed too. Woohoo!
