Seems to be working so far as this is the furthest I have ever gotten before

I'm really hoping I won't be in the clexane for too much longer- the bruises are hideous! Have now moved to my thigh as my stomach is just a little too tight now!

    Is yours immune related too?
Hi Ruby, I also have elevated Nk. At present I am 8.5 weeks, on clexane, prednisone 25mg, progesterone 200 x 1, I've also had 2 x Intralipids to date. I went and saw Dr Matthias for a 2nd opinion on my immunology issues as I've only been treated by fertility clinic to now, but they are palming me. Dr M has arranged a full blood screen, which will paint the remainder of the treatment plans. I feel relieved that I took a 2nd opinion and that he is going to do a specialised treatment rather than my clinics blanket cover.

I've also had my thyroid checked and it has gone high (I have Graves' disease although it was under control for 2 years before spiking go again over the last few weeks) so I am being medicated for that too...

    It's very hectic.

Apart from that the scans have gone well and heart rate was 130.

I am so nervous as this has been a 4 year journey to get here.

I was wondering who you were seeing for your immunology? And also if you have had an indication on when they will be weining you off the prednisone, clexane?

Also how many Intralipids have you had?

Hope you are doing well with it all

Hi Lea! And congratulations! That's fabulous news- seeing and hearing the HB is pretty exciting after all we've been through hey! Sounds like you have had a very hectic 4 years too 😔

Yep I am seeing Dr M as well- he's the only reproductive immunologist in Australia, although I think there are a few FS's that dabble in the realms (mine wasn't one of them and didn't really think much of it, which is why I consulted Dr M initially- FS was good with fertility etc, but didn't want to test me and essentially told me it was all a load of rubbish).

As for when I can start weaning I'm not really sure to be honest, I had all of my markers tested again last week and they were still elevated, so unfortunately I'm still taking the whole protocol + one more intralipid infusion in Sydney next weekend (hopefully last- this will be my 5th).....I'm assuming he'll then retest me to see where my levels are again.....

But I guess if it means we get our precious twins, it's worth it!!

Ps had my morphology scan yesterday and the sonographer wouldn't give us too much info (said we had to wait for the report) but think all is ok......but she did tell us that we are having 2 girls! Think hubby was a bit bummed they weren't boys but he is over the moon too just to have two healthy babies after such a journey!

Hope you are well too xo

    Congratulations on your twins

It sounds like we may cross paths next sat. He did my full blood screen yesterday and pending those results has me penciled in for a potential intralipid next sat 19/3.

I am not sure how long the blood results take to get back. Are you familiar with the turnaround? Also when you have your bloods done does he call you afterwards for an update or do you have to have another appointment face to face?

    Cheers
    Lea

Thanks Lea- we are pretty stoked, 2 for the price of one!! All going well of course!

I am remote ie a bushwacker- But I think that the turnaround for bloods is reasonably quick (although not being in the city I do tick the 'urgent' box if it's not already ticked on the form 😉) I had my bloods done on a wed and they were back in the next tues morning when I called and spoke to Gwyneth ( forgot to call on the Monday)....but yes, it's an old school practice and I think they are sooooo busy, so best to call in for the results - Gwyneth will either have the protocol and scripts there for you or she'll talk to Dr M and give you a bell back.

For me she actually faxed the scripts that I needed to the chemist so I could get started asap (as had already done FET) and then posted them to me to take to the chemist to make it all legit.

Let me know if you do head in this coming sat, we might be able to catch up! 😊

Hello ladies, hope you don't mind if I join... Due date as of ultrasound last Tuesday is 4 Nov 2016 but by last AF should be about 23 Oct. --- so who knows... Here's a bit on my back story...

I have now gone through 3 stim cycles (3rd times a charm - and got 7 eggs, 100% fertilisation, 1 transfer who has become my 11 month old son, 5 frozen (one not good enough to freeze) and all of A1 quality.) This was my first FET on the 5 Feb was transfer day so flew down to sydney the night before and flew home to Townsville after transfer. POAS 9 days after transfer - Valentines Day and it was positive (put the positive stick in hubbies Valentine's Day present for a surprise) took blood test on the Monday (instead of the Tuesday like I was suppose too) and it was "lower" then they would like and so repeated on Friday... Still rising but slowly, repeated on Monday, still rising but slowly, repeat again on Monday, still rising but slowly we now what you to have an ultrasound to rule out ectopic pg and don't be surprised if there is no heartbeat, was what I was told...
Ultrasound this last Tuesday - heartbeat of 92 to 102 and measuring 5 weeks 4 days (when I was 7 weeks 1 day), I was so relieved and excited I about kissed the sonographer ... FS says could be late implantation or chromosomal abnormality... Re-ultrasound in 10 days please... US Booked for 9 am on Friday the 18th... And I'm betting on late implantation and I "felt" the spike on the 12th Feb...

My first was a breeze one blood test to say I was pregnant - this has been worse than that 2ww. But relaxed a bit now... Just got to see how much little peanut has grown in 10 days.

    Sorry for the book...

    Hi everyone!
Hope it's ok I've joined in... Currently 7w2d with our first! Due out 28th!

Did fall pregnant with the help of large dosage of clomid last year but miscarried at about 5 weeks... We were lucky to fall first attempt at IVF and now have 2 on ice for later.

Had a scan at 6w4d and saw the heart beat, didn't get to hear it due to the clinics ultrasound, but he was very very happy with what he saw!

Anyway feeing excited but scared at the same time! I'm feeling pretty good and don't know if I should be worried. I don't know if I would be worried in general or if the miscarriage last year has made me more paranoid! I just thought I'd feel like crap, and I know I should be thankful and I am that's for sure but just can't get that dread out of my mind 😕

Anyway, thought I'd share in the hope people have some words of wisdom for me and if not that I may learn some things from people who are further along !

    Xx

Dont worry @tassiewife, i feel the dread every day as well. Im 7w1d and it hasnt gotten any easier even with a heart beat heard and seen.
If you mean you thought you would feel like crap as in nausea and morning sickness but dont, i am the same, got none of those symptoms.
