    Default Buy now sell ???

Okay after the other thread I thought I would ask how much would you put on this????
You know I don't want to be the next entry...

    Paid $200 never been opened.

    Current prices...

Can't find the whole set anywhere but individually

Drawer only can find a beaten up secondhand one for $20
    Unopened prices on ebay
    5 car set $55
    Calling all cars set $55
    Turntable $55
    Tunnel in box $79

Track can't find the same but a 12 piece pack is around $34
    There are 16 pieces.

So $298 to buy today on ebay. All together.

It's never been opened but has been in storage for a few years.

I'm not entirely sure what it is - is it train tracks and trains with a storage drawer?

I probably would spend around $70 on it second hand but not sure if that's being a cheapskate as I'm not quite sure what it is. On gumtree something similar someone is trying to flog for $150 used, I wouldn't spend that much personally. But I wouldn't spend a lot of what people ask for on gumtree....

    It's the drawer
    Train set
    Carriages set.
    A turntable
    A tunnel and assorted tracks.
All still in there boxes. We brought it for our 2nd boy when he was a tiny baby. He never liked Thomas so it never got opened.

Did you buy it second hand?

The Thomas the Tank Engine train sets were really expensive new 15 years ago.

The problem now is that Ikea and Kmart have almost identical sets for next to nothing. I'm not sure if that would affect the price you get for the set or not as the Thomas stuff is good quality and has nice detail.

If you bought them second hand, I would be tempted to put the $200 you paid and see how you go. You can always reduce the price if it doesn't sell. With Christmas coming up, I'm sure you would get a lot of interest.

For new unopened half the price. Be flexible with price of course but I would consider it reasonable.

No it was new. I was even thinking any where near what I paid. I was thinking maybe 100 and come down to 75 or 50 if asked too. I am hopeless at this sort of thing.

That would be my plan but I'm not good with it either!

Ah ok! I think try it out at $100 or $120, you'd probably get a buyer quickly for something brand new at Xmas.

I'd say 100. 1/2 the new price is a good place to start
