    Hi Ladies,

I'm wondering if I can join in? I've been stalking for a while as I'm 42 and we're on our 5 IVF/PICSI round. I originally came across the Wazza appreciation thread as we are doing our second cycle with him, but have then been following you gals and notice you seem like a lovely group, who are also very knowledgable and active. We're likely to have EPU on Monday and I wanted to say hi.

    Best wishes, G

Hi all - both embryos came back abnormal. So another dud cycle for me. Zero from 13 embryos fertilised. Was really hopeful of getting one as they were both decent grade blasts at AB and BC. Doing the PGD was good as I would have transferred those embryos thinking I had a chance of pregnancy when they would have been doomed from the start. Don't know what to do next. I had always thought I would pull up stumps at 3 cycles so I guess I have one more cycle in me and if that doesn't work have to accept my fate.

Hi ladies. I've just met with Dr Nick and feeling hopeful again. I'm going for a laparoscopy mid dec and having a load of tests. Not sure whether to bother with dr m now as they seem to do much the same as dr beer.

Even though I had a MC a few months back, I was at least grateful that if it was abnormal, then it righted itself early rather than find out at week 30 or something. So could be worse, but could be heaps better (ie PGD normal embies) too. Hugs
@Corbes - it's my second PGD cycle with none normal. Last cycle I only had one to test and it was abnormal. Me and DH had our chromosomes tested years ago as my sister has a balanced translocation and I wanted to get checked but there is no issue with either of us. It's just age. I get lots of eggs but none of them are apparently normal.

Hi Everyone....following many adventures....I am baaaccck!

Brief overview...since my last cycle and M/C in July I have had an ovarian torsion and lost my left ovary, turned 42, had some issues with my thyroid hormones and still decided to back up again for another cycle, yay for number 8!

So yesterday I had egg pickup and had 6 collected with only 2 fertilising overnight. I am not having a transfer this cycle but hoping for an FET if these little embies make it to day 5.

It is the first birthday this Saturday for our lost little baby Lewis and I am hoping that it will also signal a new beginning after a horrific last 12 months.

Has anyone posted the roll call? I would love to see how everyone is going.

I will check in and see how much I have missed. As always sending love to all you legendary girls out there.

I'm so sorry. That absolutely stinks. It's such a long bloody wait too only to get bad news. Oh I feel for you hon. With so many fertilising and 2 getting to blastocysts you kinda start to hope that it means those ones are maybe ok. So unfair.
@Charlie74 - you're exactly right. I let myself get a bit hopeful last Friday when my FS went through the embryology report and he said my blasts were good quality. It's so cruel that they can get blast, look normal and even good yet be abnormal. I wish the abnormal ones just wouldn't grow past day 3, it would be so much easier. I really hope you get another normal one to add to the one you already have.
