I'm sooo ready to go to sleep now @BlondeinBrisvegas! The old Valium on very little sleep has really knocked me for six. No surprise there hey?!
    Ta @winsor!
I thought of you @JulieMalooley when I sat down to lunch and low and behold a tortoise strolled on up. No tortoise shagging though. It was a mum and baby so maybe the end result of the love fest you witnessed! @Gagingi hopefully it was indeed a good omen! @Gagingi I start POAS on the weekend and then if I get a positive then I'll go for a beta if I don't then I won't bother with a beta.

I was told intralipids at ET, then if there's a positive beta, and then every 10days to 2 weeks for the first 12 weeks! Which seems very time consuming, but makes some immunological sense!

Wazza insists you need a glass of brandy after ET to get the blood pumping and to relax, so if you have that you're sure to sleep all the way home while your embies set up house.

    have a safe trip @Tahli!

Hi goils, so my follicle was just under 20 this morning so I reckon trigger tonight or tomorrow which is a relief, just waiting on the call from the nurse. If it gets pushed back any further I will be POASing on xmas day which is really, really not what I want to be doing as I will be up to my eyeballs in in-laws and babies.

FWIW I did my intralipids on stim day 7 (which seems very early by comparison to everyone else) and with a BFP.

I'm intrigued by how this works.. So they wait for that 'one' to be a certain size bcos it affects ur lining and the timing of when u should transfer etc???.. Why do they do medicated FET's sometimes & at others just a normal unmedicated cycle? What's the difference?
On the medicated FET you take estrogen tablets until the lining is nice and plump then transfer on day 20, then after a BFP you have to keep taking the estrogen tablets and progesterone pessaries for a few weeks (miscarriage rates are ever so slightly higher due to increased risk of forgetting to take the tablets on time). Seeing as two of those cycles didn't work they are trying me on the stim version, which is more hassle to begin with (as you can see!) as it involves injections and creating an ovulation. I guess they are trying to recreate as 'natural' an ovulation as possible with 1 follicle and the estrogen at the right level (I guess around 1000ish) so that my body produces all the correct hormones, the lining thickens and does the right thing after ovulation. So once I ovulate I won't need to take tablets for weeks, just the progesterone until the BFP. Taking the tablets was much less hassle but I'm happy to be doing something different.......
