    Hi again

We went to the market today and I bought a kilo of fat, juicy cherries. They are disappearing faster than chocolate I'm not a big fan of fruit but these are divine.

@Sue77, massive congratulations on the 20 eggs, what a fab result. I am crossing everything that there are some beautiful embies to come from that lot

@Gagingi, congratulations on being PUPO Hope the TWT isn't too bad for you

@JulieM, have you read "Up The Duff"? It's very funny and a lot of what you'ere saying sounds very like what's in the book

How did you get your PGD results back so quick? Mine took 3 weeks again this cycle - but was a day 5 biopsy and was a full chromosome screening.

fingers crossed you get another normal to freeze. I'm doing 300 menopur with melatonin this cycle .
Hi @Green lady - We did 3-day Array-CGH PGD as QFG don't do biopsies on the weekend and whilst we'd hoped/planned for EPU on Wednesday and then a day 5 biopsy my follies were ready Monday at the latest. I'd have preferred 5-day PGD as I believe it is lower risk to embies. With 3 day they can do a screen for chromosomes and then they plan for a fresh transfer - results came in at 10 this morning and we didn't know going in - it was only when I refused to put my feet in the stirrups that the nurse went to check (I think she felt very sorry for us, but their communication is not always the best). I think 3 day is more traumatic for the embie, but thankfully they continued to develop and it's a 6, so I think that is hatching (can anybody confirm?). There is also a tiny risk the 1-2 cells are different to the rest, so we'll still need to do normal checking if pregnancy results. With 5 day, as you probably know, they take several cells from what will become the placenta, so fetal cells are left alone and they have more to work with, so I think it is more accurate. Three day was the best we could do with the timing. I do like the fresh transfer though, as we all know some embies don't thaw well. We're only doing PGD for my age, so chromosome screen should do it.

I think HA is the same as PICSI too. I must admit we're a bit unimpressed that this wasn't mentioned to us earlier or done as a standard part of ICSI. ICSI takes away natural selection and PICSI brings it back a bit. This cycle we've had a better fert rate and definitely stronger embies. We'd probably would have had another 10-15 embies by now (i.e. across earlier cycles) if this cycle's results are anything to go by. We hate the idea that a good egg got put with a dodgy sperm, when our eggies are so precious, but C'est la vie - I'm going for Buddha zen during TWT.

@Gagingi A Grade 6 is a hatching Blasty at QFG if memory serves😊

It doesn't come any better than a PGD normal hatching Blasty Luv so you're in with an excellent chance IMO😊☝

@Blondeinbrisvegas - thanks for that info, that is what I thought, but wasn't sure. I'm excited, but after this many cycles with no results, we are trying to be realistic too. I see you got your first BFP on #5 - I think I'd go into shock. Wazza seemed positive, but also warned we needed the gear box and clutch to work too! It's going to be a long TWT!
