Hi ladies .. I am back.. they collected 20 eggs... hoping atleast half of them would be mature.... I asked them ..and they could tell me nothing abt the size etc at that time... really hope this works. .. not trying to get excited with the numbers as I have a huge drop off rate from day 3 to day 5 ...buttt. . In the end u need 1 good quality embi. ..which we haven't been able to find yet... but I have given my absolute best in this cycle ... can't to anything more n all of u have been such a support system. .yes the hotel was nice n comfy.. went for a nice dinner at a Japanese restaurant with dh. Was actually a bit of a change..
Infinity 888 wishing u a very happy birthday love...
Tahli good luck for CT and praying this cycle gets u positive results. Xx

Sue - I hope your EPU has gone well?
Tahli - best wishes with your trip. As the others have said you are very brave and I'm sure that strength will serve your kids well into the future.
Blossom - if I can add my 2 cents worth to your FS dilemma? I'd say we are lucky not to live in a one horse town and if you want to swap FS then do it. I swapped FS and to my knowledge FS#1 doesn't know. I was very worried about causing offense, but as my GP and another specialist said to me, "this is your highest priority and being nice hasn't got you your bub yet". We put so much in and none of us want to look back with regret. Wazza obviously knows my previous FS (same clinic) and any time FS#1's name comes up he makes a crack at FS#1's expense - it cracks us up - I'd love to see them in a clinic board meeting. FS#1 is also very highly regarded, but conservative and you want to be comfortable and know you've done what you can. I'd love to go back to FS#1 as an obstetrician, but think I'd find that too embarrassing. In 20 years time neither FS#1 or FS#2 will remember you, but you'll always treasure the FS that gets you your miracle. In retrospect I think we had nil chance with FS#1 and paid $12-15K for nothing.
Green Lady - I'm on DHEA and Melatonin - Wazza standard for our age I gather. Saizen he was a bit iffy, but happy for us to give it a try. He said he'd use it for everybody if not for the cost. I'm also on intralipids, cortisone, and masses of blood thinners for Adenomyosis and NK cells. Also, based on your mention of Menupur with your last cycle, I asked about that and Wazza only uses it in tandem with Gonal-F. So he splits dose AM/PM and you have either/or on alternate days. Wazza said he would not use purely Menopur. Also has DH been thoroughly checked as our men age too and from our PICSI results not all swimmers are created normal.
AFM - I've been following along, but it's been a big week. I have been thinking of you all. I ended up with an emergency admission for a few days following EPU on Monday - painful and disorientating, but not problematic longterm. We did PICSI for the first time this cycle. We got 14 eggs; 12 mature; 7 fertalised; 4 PGD'd D3, as the other 3 were too dodgy/dying. We've just now had a D5 transfer of 1 normal blast and they are still accessing/freezing another while they wait to see if it is normal. Regardless it seems PICSI and Wazza's pharmacy have made a huge difference - with our 4 previous cycles we've got between 1-7 mature eggs; 1-3 have fertalised and we've only ever ended up with 1 average embie per cycle and 3 of those were day 3 transfers as FS#1 didn't think they'd necessarily make it to day 5. This cycle we had 4 make it to day 5 (although at least 2 were chromosomally abnormal). So now the 2 week torture (TWT) has begun (when I heard that name for TWW earlier this week I thought we should formally rename it TWT as reflects the lived experience!).
