    Default Health care card

Is a pensioner card used as a health care card to get medicines etc or should i receive a separate card at some stage if on a pension?

Yes I think so. I used to get SPP and I got all the same discounts.

How do i know when it is useful?? I heard recently that electricity companies might give discount buy i don't know when confessions apply. Obviously things are very tight at the moment so any help would be great but i'd feel strange asking!

You have just gotta push past that feeling awkward thing, if you want the discounts. Where I live, there is discounted registration for your vehicle and electricity discount that are very worth using. You need to phone your provider and tell them you have a pensioner concession card and just give them the number over the phone and they will apply it.

I had a pension card and no health care card. You can use it for anything that you would use a health care card for. You can get things discounted with a pension card (concession) though as opposed to a health care card which is just for things related to your health.

They both work the same but some places they give the discount only for pension card...like in different states not all give concession for transport
