    @HillDweller I think they should've done ICSI with at least half too. Disappointing
    @Evelynmoo woohooo! How exciting!

    I was on pregnyl boosters after EPU. 2dpo, 5dpo, 8dpo and 11dpo. It's usually out of my system in 3-4 days.

    However it is the reason I didn't test this time, because of very faint lines on test day residual from pregnyl last time.?

    Hi everyone.

    I am an old time member posting under this profile. As this will be the new me.

    DH and I have been TTC since April 2013 and have had no luck. We did a few rounds of clomid with no luck so we are about to embark on our first round of IVF as I have a blocked tube that's been getting in the way.

    I collect my meds on Thursday so it's starting to get real. Egg collection will be sometime between March 8-10th all going well.

    Looking forward to getting to know you all.

    You're right, at least I know I respond well and can get lots of eggs and at least we've gained some important information. The lab said they would expect to have seen sperm surrounding the eggs but they weren't doing that at all...however the sperm were all mobile and swimming well, so they think maybe for whatever reason they couldn't penetrate the eggs. So ICSI next time should at least overcome that hurdle.

    DH is kind of upset at the clinic for not suggesting we do ICSI with half the eggs. When they called him to say they wanted a second sample, they said if he couldn't come back they'd do ICSI instead with what they had. So he's just really kicking himself . We had also talked about asking them to do ICSI with some eggs if we had lots...but didn't end up saying anything to the clinic. So in reality we're just angry with ourselves, DH is blaming himself for the situation and I keep telling him it was just bad luck. :/
    So sorry to hear your update if/when you try again maybe ask you clinic about using embryogen too, costs about $400 but worth it if it works!

    @HillDweller in sorry to hear about your result but don't lose hope. It was a good result and maybe with the right adjustments and tweaking it will improve in the next cycle. I'm not sure if this was your first but if it was then It's common for the first cycle to be a bust. Not that it makes it much easier to deal with but we're here to lend a supportive ear when you need it. X
