@Tinachris I was only on 300 gonal too. Is that why your original specialist apologized? Did he/she admit you needed a higher level of gonal?
@Lisau77 opening a bottle of wine is a great idea! I stopped drinking 2 weeks before I started on hormones but we could have used the idea with something different. I'm so happy for you that it worked- congratulations!

@Best Things What does 3BB mean?Does it refer to cells?

The embryologist rang today with sad news that the 3 aren't developed enough for day 3. 1 has broken into 5 cells but is fragmented. Another is only 2 cells and the other 3. ๐Ÿ˜ข We were meant to be having implantation on Monday but she is going to call that morning to give us an update. Fingers crossed the 5 cell has a growth spurt!

Fingers crossed for you MrsZebu, hopefully that little five cell grows over the next few days. It's so horribly stressful, isn't it? I hate the waiting. It's the worst. I think he just apologised for the crap cycle generally. It's a hard call..more than 300-350 can mean the egg quality is affected.. But possibly I'd get more on 400..

    Default 2ww

Thanks @Tinachris. They developed a little but still underdeveloped. As none would have been viable for freezing, we decided to implant the strongest two and hope for the best. When we went to implant, one wasn't looking too bad. I have a good feeling, but maybe that's just natural optimism.
What advice did your FS give you following implantation? Mine didn't say anything, but my accupuncturist/naturopath advised to rest, avoid all housework and exercise.
Any symptoms I should keep an eye out for during this 2WW?

I take it easy however light exercise and housework I still do. I figure most women don't know their pregnant at this stage anyway? So I'm not laying around however I don't strain myself! Just eat well, drink plenty of water and look after yourselfโค๏ธ (don't do anything that might make you blame yourself for it not working later on is my motto)

Sore boobs and twinges in tummy and bloating all progesterone and normal. I've had my boobs stop hurting and instantly felt like my body had changed and it didn't work. It didn't! However I've read online that some women get BFP even though they loose symptoms. Wasn't case for me though ๐Ÿ˜ž

Just wanted to give you hope that i went through repromed and only had 3 embryos fertilise. We put two in (due to my age) and one split and became identical twins. All on our first round of ivf. So low numbers can be fine. Of course it's all learning and might take more than this, but look after yourself and know that numbers aren't everything!

I have been trying to take it fairly easy just to be safe. It is hard not to lift the odd thing though. I've had twinges, which are a new feeling, so I'm hoping it's a good sign. A couple of times it started to feel more like a cramp but it went away. I'd had that kind of cramping and soreness after the retrieval so I'm hoping it is just still from that. The sore boobs seem to be getting better, so I'm glad that doesn't mean that it hasn't worked. I have started to be more emotional the last couple of days. I hope it's a symptom and not PMT. it's so easy to stress over every little symptom isn't it?!
@NAT2561 Thank you - that helps a lot! What a great success! Congratulations! How old are they now? It was a little scary signing Repromed's document outlining all of the risks with multiples. Did the second single embryo take too? Or just the one that split into identical twins?

Crossing fingers for you. Our second embryo formed an empty sac, so didn't progress. Would've been triplets otherwise! Twins are two and a half now and an absolute joy. Hasn't been anywhere near as difficult as i thought it might be, but obviously we were prepared to have twins having two embryos put in, so had thought long and hard about it. I remember being disappointed when our numbers were so low but it goes to show anything is possible. Good luck!

NAT that's so wonderful! I hope they skip the "terrible twos"! Can you recall how many cells your embryos were?
