    Hello everyone. Just for an update. I ended up seeing a different doctor altogether who basically said that yes tonsillitis can develop from viral cause and antibiotics cannot help this. But that allot of Dr's prescribe it just in case it is the bacterial form as this can have serious consequences sick as rheumatic fever.

    She didn't think the rash was an allergic reaction. She recommended we finish the course of antibiotics. Dd still has for days to go. She has a bit of a cough but other than that she is fine.

    The rash actually disappeared on Sunday.
