No. For the cycle itself DH and I had to be around for egg collection (so he could do his thing re sperm) and obviously embryo transfer. This time was just there for a few days to have FET. There are lots of uk women who go to Greece and they are monitored back in U.K. during their IVF cycle and go over for egg collection and embryo transfer. So not too bad at all really!

Donors in Greece are anonymous by law so we had to choose characteristics and physical things so that was weird. I suppose for many that is a step too far but then again, when it comes to your choices being limited, it makes you a lot more open minded!

We went to Athens for a donor egg at Embryoland through Dr Warren (aka Dr Wazza) in Brisbane. I'm now 10 weeks pregnant. We're both 42 and it was my eggs that were not producing a viable pregnancy. Would highly recommend Embryoland.

Hello everyone... Had a sneaky early hcg test today, I figured if it was negative at least I could have a good New Year. Which I certainly will... as my hcg was 291!! Early days of course but so excited!! 9.5 days post 5dt, that's pretty high, right? Really hoping it will stick and not be a chemical!!! Prog 124 which is nice and high too I think (no wonder, as I'm on a v high dose of utrogestan) seems so unreal!!

Yay @Chillout91!! That is fantastic news!! Yep I reckon that sounds like a great result. Mine at 14dp5dt was1200 so probably would have been around your level at 9dp5. Congrats!

Apples1234 I don't really know if that level is high or not but apparently the thing that determines viability of pregnancy or whether it could be twins is the rate that hcg increases not the level itself? We transferred two so I guess we will see!!

    Default 2WW and going insane!!

    Hi ladies,
I was on a previous thread in July but we ended up having to terminate the pregnancy at 12 weeks due to a very rare condition. Heartbreaking.
Anyhow, we did our FET on December 29th with a single 5 day blast and am currently 3DPT. Last pregnancy believe it or not a HPT showed a positive at this stage. I made the mistake and tested today even though I know it is rare to get a positive so early and of course it was negative. The waiting does my head in!!!! Have more constant symptoms this time round. Light cramps have been consistent since Tuesday, sore lower back, a few sharp stabbing pains here and there and very light spotting twice. Has anyone else had a similar experience to me and got a BFP???
