@babypanda that's sounding good! I get nervous about the general anaesthetic too but it's honestly fine. You wake up and are in recovery with lovely nurses. You can opt for twilight sedation which I've heard you still don't remember anything but it's a quicker recovery and your partner can come in with you.

Default NOV/DEC 2015 IVF Cycles and transfers (double embrie friendly)

YOU CAN WITHDRAW YOUR SUPER TO PAY FOR IVF. Supercare will charge you $980. You can do it by yourself. Here is how to get things started.

Ok here is the deal. You need to call dept of human services 1300 131 060 and tell them you need to apply to withdraw your super on "compassionate grounds" (do not say financial hardship). They will need to give you an approval letter. You will also need to call your super fund and ask them to email you a claim form for withdrawing super assisted my dept of human services. Be strong. Stand your ground. This is allowed but not widely known so some staff will not know what to do.

Steps to get started (keep in mind this is the government so it's likely to take ages and be frustrating)

    1. Contact you superannuation company and ask them to email you a form to claim early release of superannuation as you are applying to release under compassionate grounds through the department of human services.
    2. Call dept of human services and say you wish to apply for early release of your super on compassionate grounds due to IVF expenses. Then they will guide you from there. Phone Number is in my original post.

My FS has ordered some more tests for hubby. She basically said our last cycle was a disaster! Hoping for a better round this month. I've started on coq10 as well

My FS has decided that he is going to do a surgery to look at my insides (not sure if the name) at the same time as egg collection to investigate and make sure there are no problems inside.
