We already have a number of new Star Wars items - mostly action figures and spacecraft. Because DH. My DS enjoys it too.

My DH will probably simultaneously cry and pee his pants with excitement when he sees the new movie for the first time. He's THAT excited.

I agree the amount of merchandise available is insane, and there's a lot of stuff we wouldn't buy because it's tacky as hell.

    Default Star Wars crap- thoughts?!?

I haven't noticed (yet) but in saying that there's no real Star Wars fans here in the kids or myself, and I guess it makes a nice change from all the ''Frozen"stuff! ☺️

    DH and DSS are obsessed!

I refuse to buy anything star wars related, but will tell people that is what they are into if they ask for gift ideas- that limits the amount of crap but they still get what they are interested in.

DSD like the lego but only because it is more intricate than other ones.

I'm not a Star Wars fan, but DH is obsessed. We love looking at all the merchandise that's out. I'm getting the whole family Star Wars pj's for Christmas. If you don't like it, don't buy it. No one is being forced to buy anything.

As for the Covergirl makeup, I don't see the issue with that. I wouldn't even look if it was from the Star Wars collection, if it's a colour I like, then I'll buy it. I have a Fifty Shades of Grey OPI nail polish set, yet have never seen the movie or read the books. I just liked the colours.

DS is obsessed at the moment. I've just bought him a Star Wars shirt and he saved all his pocket money to buy a light sabre, but then the toy store had run out! So he got an action figure instead. I don't see it any differently to all the other mercy from the kids shows - Thomas, Dora etc etc. Just that adults love Star Wars too so there's more adult oriented merch around.
