Wow, the Lynn bashing has gone ot awhole new level when people are complaining about her offices. Nothing fancy about them, just standard consulting rooms. Which she would be paying a fortune to rent.

Just had a look through my claims history as I was curious about price - in June 2014 my initial consult fee with her was $400, I got $72 back from Medicare and I'm sure a little bit back from PH as well. a $100 increase to her fees over 2 years is probably not that bad really.

Also please remember with her fees she doesn't get the full $500 or whateer it is. She also has expenses like medical insurance to cover, and despite what we see a bit of work does get done in the background. If you're not happy with Lynn go elsewhere, its like any other service. I personally will be going back to Lynn for baby #2 as I have complete faith in her ability as a fertility specialist.

Good luck to those of you who are currently cycling, a positive attitude towards IVF certainly doesn't hurt your chances.

Default Lynn Burmeister Monash IVF-feedback wanted please #6

I had my initial consult with Lynn in September last year and my consult was only $400 and I think my subsequent visits have been $150 to see her plus $100 for a scan if she's done one.

Again, my only point is that you really have no right to "bash" when you've not even met the woman...

If you've personally had a bad experience, by all means share. But if you all you're going on is hearsay then I think it's unfair.

Totally agree with everything you said @Charlie74, especially the bit about nurse and Lynn's receptionists missing things, it's happened to me several times, including the wrong meds being given to me - was only changed because I picked it up. One word of constructive advise to all new patients is speak up to Lynn if you are/have received incorrect information because she can't change something she doesn't know about.

Hmmmm its not about Lyn bashing isn't a forum about posting good and bad and people's experiences.
I am not negative at all when it comes to IVF, I am realistic.
If you got pregnant with Lyn then I say you are always going to support her in a positive way.
I am very involved with IVF groups, I even arranged a group to see a movie on IVF last night with another donor group I am heavily involved with. We are able to speak free and easy in that group.
We were actually discussing Dr Hope last night and she has great reviews.

I agree with what is being said. I have no issue with people posting about their own experiences on a forum, the good the bad and the ugly. yes that is what a forum is for. I also agree those with a positive outcome are less likely to critis than others, thats just human nature.

I have been following this thread for a very long time now and the issue seem to be the same in regards to her reception staff and the Monash nurses. I certainly hope that thos ewho have had problems mention them to Lynn so they can be addressed. You are paying a fortune for this service and something as important as medication and procedures being booked in correctly is essential to this process.

People are certainly entitled to their opinions and are free to express them on here. I'm not singing Lynn's praises, my husband went to a grand total of one appointment after our initial one as he was so put off by her manner and the way she seemed to ignore him completely. I am simply saying that critising her for her consulting rooms seems to have gone a bit far.

As I said in a previous post I wish everyone the best of luck in their cycles, I mean no ill towards anyone.
