Whats everyone think of Lynne?
Those who've had success will speak highly of her. Those who've not, will likely have some negatives.
Personally I think she's great and would recommend her highly. She's very direct, and some people think she's cold. But personally I want results, and I'll take that over warm and fuzzy any day.
She has been great for us. We saw another specialist first who basically told us he thought there was nothing wrong with us within 5 mins of meeting us and sent us away to keep trying for another 6 months. Lynne took us seriously and booked a whole range of test immediately. She found out exactly what was wrong before starting any treatment to make sure she knew the best course of action.
We recently lost a newborn due to illness and our first meeting back with her she was amazing. She took her time with us, allowed enough time to talk through everything that happened and what our options are for the future.
She's a busy lady but it's because she's one of the best.
Wanted to share these two studies from another forum I'm in - for anyone with RIF/RPL or failed IVF whose FS doesn't treat possible underlying immune factors - in the uterine profiling study of the 394 women with IVF fails, 57% had overactive immune indicators (so needed steroids +/ intralipids, Vit E, Progesterone) but 25% were underactive (so needed endometrial scratch + HCG + BD post transfer). Pretty compelling results from using Tacrolimus too from the Japanese study... Hope it helps!
Thanks all you lovely ladies, I am in two minds about Monash, I did a cycle with Talmor with my own eggs and it was terrible. Can you recommend any good FS's using a donor?
I really like Lynn, I've done one cycle with her and am about to embark on cycle number two with a whole new protocol. She is very open to trying different things to get a result. She's a busy lady but I've never felt rushed in the appointments with her. My nurse is Michelle and she is just wonderful too
Terrible experience with the staff/nurses at monash, I am starting to lose a lot of faith and lately all I hear is shocking stories
Hi all - I have just booked myself in for an appointment with Lynn. The appointment is not until mid May, so I am hoping that cancellation list can get me in to see her quicker.
I'm currently with another Dr at Monash who I really like, but I just don't think he's got the know-how to get us over the line.
I thought we would be a relatively easy ivf case, both of us 31, super healthy, and only doing ivf for my partner's MFI. But after 7 months of IVF I have done two stims and three FETs, and only managed one BFP which ended in a missed miscarriage and D&C. I have never had a lap or done any immune or NK cell testing, so thinking that might be the next step. We always get apparently good blastocysts, and we still have 3 in the freezer. I'm just tired of putting them back in and getting BFNs, I feel so worried we're wasting good embryos when there might be something else wrong.
Anyway, just wanted to jump in and say 'hey' to any ladies who are seeing Lynn at the moment. I've heard good things but I'm also starting to hear some not so great things now. I just hope a) we get in to see her soon and b) she whispers us a baby!
I am also going to see her in May.
I think for you if there are any issues Lynne is the one to do the tests to find out if there is a problem.
