@Tahli, I'm going in hun on Tuesday for a laproscopy so when I see Lynn then i'll ask her for the name...oh geese I hope I didn't hear wrong then if none of you girls have heard of this injection. are you on a strong dose of patches? probably make sure you are, I just realised I only on 25 mg until I questioned it and now she'll be putting me on a higher dose. How many rounds have you had @Tahli? this will be my 11th with no success (of a baby take home) - like I was saying earlier there comes a time when you have to start looking at DE if you feel that things aren't moving in the direction you originally thought hey. @Sue77, how are you going?x

@SophJ yes, like you some of my meds have been wrong and it wasn't until I questioned it that things changed. I think that I need to make things clear with her in every appointment what my issues are, eg thin lining, poor eggs etc otherwise I find that she forgets sometimes. Like @Sue77 and others there I was going to switch but I found that you have to wait months and months for a consult that I thought it was probably best to stick with her BUT be a bit more forceful with her interms of not being afraid to ask her to double check things with me. I was just going in there saying "ok" to everything she was saying as I was afraid of upsetting her....I know it's crazy. she wrote down she was going to do a curette on me, along with the H&L until I reminded her about my lining issues and then she scrapt the Curette, so yes, I don't blame you if you might be thinking that the constant curette might have to do with our lining issues hun. I'm back on Trental (2 a day) but honestly feel like it's doing nothing at all.

I know, it is crazy! I was so scared of upsetting her! But we paid thousands to see her, we should not feel that way at all. I hope she can realise she's taken way too many patients than she can handle.
Have you had D&C before? When did you start noticing you had lining issues?

@Tahli, are you seeing Warren already? The only reason I'm a little hesitate to go and see Warren is I feel like he puts a lot of his patients through DE path. I'm 32 and I don't think egg quality is my problem. We did the testing after our missed miscarriages and they were all genetically normal.

We had one failed IVF attempt with Monash, neither hubby nor I felt that they listened to us and we were just treated like a number in a flock of sheep. We never went back. After 8yrs of ttc, I went through a naturally fertility treatment and have fallen pregnant after 4 mths. We are now 10wks along. Couldn't recommend that high enough! I hated the whole IVF process!

@SophJ Again all of your words ring true. I was very direct with her on my last apt. She has far too many patients. I've had quite a few D&Cs over the years, not with LB. My lining is only ever 6.8mm to 7.4mm. I look forward to hearing from @Faiths love on the name of the injection. I'm not seeing Wazza as I moved onto DEs. I believe he responds well to honesty so it couldn't hurt to get a second opinion if you felt comfortable with the idea. I believe people are getting August apt's plus going on his cancellation list.
Good luck with your lap @Faiths love. Be kind to yourself for the first few days won't you. I'm only doing the patches for the first time this DE FET cycle, plus 12mg Progy and Viagra, as suggested by my CT (Cape Town) FS. I understand LB doesn't support Viagra.

Thanks for the feedback ladies. I too have always been a bit scared to give Lynn feedback, she's of course the specialist and should know more than me. For my next cycle I've asked my nurse to get my instructions and once I've got them I'll go and see Lynn. I can then find out why she's decided on that protocol and what the point of difference is rather than being bamboozled and rushed by her.

Default Lynn Burmeister Monash IVF-feedback wanted please #6

Oh my gosh so much activity on here today! @Faiths love

Glad you had some quality time for this appointment!

to answer your questions about donor eggs.. I have decided to go with a clinic in spain, after lots of research and talking to people on here (other threads) about their experiences at the same clinic. I would have considered someone i know but my friends are all over 35 and still having their own children. Plus I would prefer a younger egg.

What you say is true (that regardless I would be raising it) and it played on my mind for a while, would I resent the child etc. When it was first raised with me I thought no way could I do that. But knowing what I know now and having had plenty of time to process it I would prefer to have a child this way than not at all. And we are using my partners sperm (I think a lot of people have to use donor egg and donor sperm) so if it happens maybe it will look like him

we will try to adopt if this doesn't work but I know that is a long process too and of course never guaranteed/

we have limited ourselves to 2 donor egg attempts (transferring 2 blastocysts at a time). The time off and costs are a lot!! Plus I don't fly well.. Already dreading the long trip haha

From what I understand Lynn recommends people to go to a clinic in South Africa. She must have some sort of affiliation with them. Another monash doctor sends people to Genesis in Greece - where Mary Coustas went. I didn't want to go to South Africa which is no issue for Lynn. I just keep her across everything my Spanish clinic is telling me to do and Lynn helps me with the scripts for the meds etc.

hopefully you won't need to think too much about DE though! But if you have any questions I'm happy to answer them (or try to!). I am off to spain for the transfer in April...

All the best for your lap next week
