Yes please @JulieMalooley. And a twin if you've got one going spare.
Gosh @midnite01 I have everything crossed it's not an ectopic hun.
If I don't post tomorrow it's because I've died of AF pain overnight. Please eat lots of chocolate in my memory.

What were your exact instructions for Pred? I'm going hard-core with Pred this time. I just re-asked Dr W if he suggests increasing the dose from 15mgs but nope, he doesn't. I have little doubt (based on no medical proof) that my body rejected/killed my last 3 embryos. @Chiefsgirl @BlondeinBrisvegas and any of the other girls who've done high doses of Pred....what was your protocol leading up to transfer. I need help to work out what dose to take when. I'm going rouge and start tomorrow morning!!
@Tahli my directions for pred were 5mg a day from day 3. Increase to 10mg from about day 5. Then I increased to 15mg from day 8 or so then to 20mg on day of transfer.

Feeling sad and sorry for myself tonight ladies. My friend who has 11DD and 8DS plus one lovely surprise DS at age 42 naturally and accidentally has just announced another natural accidental pregnancy at 44. So happy for her, I am very excited but having a pity party for myself tonight. Infertility sucks

Yeah it really sucks to be left out of the fertility parade that seems to be occurring around us always. I can't believe she can fall pregnant so easily at that age. I realised tonight that now my brother is expecting I'm the only person in my family and my partners family that is not a parent as even my partner has children. It's so lonely being infertile 😞.

I hear you. My husbands good friends girlfriend gets pregnant at 42. " it was so unexpected we weren't even trying " quote. I wanted to smash her skull into the tiles on the floor. Am I a psychopath?

This might be a silly question but can you have an ectopic with IVF? I don't see how it's possible since the egg isn't being fertilised on the tube but it seems to happen ?

Yes you can unfortunately Luv and apparently doing IVF/IUI puts you at a slightly higher risk than natural conceptions which are 1%. Here's a shameless copy and paste explaining:

    IVF

During IVF treatment, a woman's eggs are removed directly from her ovaries and are fertilised with her partner's sperm outside her body (in a laboratory). The resulting embryos are then inserted directly into her womb. Given that most ectopic pregnancies occur when a fertilised egg gets stuck in the fallopian tube, you might ask how IVF could possibly increase the chances of ectopic pregnancy, since IVF "bypasses" the fallopian tubes altogether. Fertility specialists believe that ectopic pregnancy may occur if, when the embryos are transferred to the womb, they are placed too high in the womb cavity. The embryos then have a greater chance of "wandering" and implanting themselves in places where they are not supposed to be, such as the fallopian tubes. Embryos could also make their way into the fallopian tubes if they are injected into the womb with too much force. In the past, doctors would block the fallopian tubes during IVF treatment to try and prevent ectopic pregnancy from occurring. This method is no longer used.

    IUI

IUI treatment involves inserting sperm directly into the womb cavity to help the sperm reach and fertilize a woman\'s egg. This treatment may also increase the risk of a pregnancy developing in the fallopian tubes or elsewhere if the sperm is injected with too much force or is placed too high in the womb cavity.
    What Are The Chances?

Between 2 and 5 % of IVF treatments result in ectopic pregnancy. If you are undergoing either IVF or IUI treatment and you do get pregnant, keep an eye out for symptoms of ectopic pregnancy. If you believe you are experiencing any of these symptoms, get medical help immediately.

'Morning all, a quick post while my DH and my sister are still asleep. In separate beds of course. Nothing weird going on here

@ Greenlady, yup, as @BIB said you can definitely have an ectopic pregnancy with IVF. Actually a slightly higher chance than normal. My FS just said sometimes when they put emby back in he bounces around until he finds a nice spot to sit, but that sometimes that spot is not the right spot!

@JulieM, so pleased you get to start weaning of some of the drugs. I've heard that should be done very gradually so as not to have an adverse effect.

@Charlie74, congrats on the 8 embies being fertilised. they are all strong and healthy and hold on for you.

@BIB, I didn't make a cake yesterday. It was simply too bl@@dy hot to bake. It didn't stop us from hitting up the bakery though. Poor jam donut and vanilla slice didn't see me coming....!

@Tahli, I'm sorry your HCG is now 4 and like me you are officially not pregnant. After the high of a BFP it just doesn't seem fair. Thinking of you today.

@midnite01, I am thinking of you too love. I had really hoped your numbers would jump up. I'm very sorry

@MamaKes, I reckon every single one of us knows the pang of yet ANOTHER pregnancy announcement, and the feeling of empty arms. I'm sorry yesterday was a bad day for you

@Corbes, yep, if you eat healthy and exercise you increase your chances of getting pregnant naturally at 42. Or you could eat a boat-load of cake and be overweight and fall pregnant naturally at 45 like my Mum. Let's eat cake!!

AFM, I'm about to make bacon and eggs for everyone and have a relaxing day. Really enjoying having my sister here. We have had a good chat and a lot of cake and are both having a ball. She will be going home at lunch time. Pity we couldn't have longer.
