Hugs summer. I'm sorry that you are feeling this way. The journey definitely is so soul intensive emotional and I think we've all had those bad days when we have considered whether it would be easier to walk away or our partners have considered that. Is it worth trying to see a counsellor for both of you so an independent person can hear both of your sides xxx

It's a yucky feeling of disgust for my body I suppose, for doing this to me, and you just wish you could shake it off but it stays. It's like a nasty stain that won't go away. Does anyone else feel that way after a bfn? I will continue to take all my drugs but will stop the acupuncture now and wait to see a new fs Dr NL to see what he says next week. I did consider another fet cycle straight away to get in before the end of the year but the odds of that working are so low I know it would just be my body killing another embryo and me throwing money to the wind again. I will have to cop the fees at the start of the year if I even can afford a main****** clinic which I will find out from DrNL I guess. I will get Dr Ms paperwork in too and reassess in the new year. Birthday is in two weeks which will not be a celebration as it's just another year of fertility gone and I've cancelled Christmas. I'm sure you get it @Summer. Just want to crawl into a ball now and have this year over with.

It's good there's some happy news still coming through on this thread and hope there's more to come soon. Sorry to be a downer ladies. Will step out the haze soon xx
It's always gut wrenching @Caesardust, nothing ever makes it feel better. Good luck with your next step ...

I'm just really at the point of giving up on everything. I've done so much counseling over the years and it has helped at different times, but right now I really don't care enough to bother. I kind of see myself just packing a bag and taking a flight to Bali and starting over. The depression did get really bad earlier this year when I was very invested in the thought that if I don't have children I don't want to live, and it feels like I'm heading back that way. Especially now as I don't have a business, any dollars, my friends are pretty much all gone, and it feels like the end of so many things. Thanks for being there for me - the ladies on this thread are truly amazing.
Don't apologise for being down ... don't feel guilty ... All this weighs upon our hearts so heavily... we all get it - especially when others don't.

I read on a Facebook group that IVF causes stress and trauma not unlike people who are going through cancer - I do not say this to trivialise cancer - I've lost family members to the disease ... but we go through so many tests, treatments, waiting etc ... It really grinds grooves into us ...

    anyway .. I get it.

New FS is sending me for a list of tests ... Kinda scary stuff really ...

I did type them out then they got deleted by my incorrect button clicking ... It would be far easier to post a photo ...

@Summer I have had that conversation with my husband. He has always wanted kids so after we had done three rounds of IVF with no sign of implantation I had a very frank chat with him. He was devastated when I said I wanted to leave him. He didn't understand at all that it was about me wanting him to have a chance of having a family. Even though I said it plainly he just kept going through all the things he thought he had done wrong in our relationship. Not being able to have kids was not a reason to leave for him.It is so true what the girls have been saying. There is more to your relationship than just having a baby. My DH knew that better than me.

I am going to send you a hug and say if depression is where you will head if you give up then don't give up. Do everything you can to stay clear of the black dog. Follow up with your potential egg donor. Get your tests done. Go see your GP and tell them your feeling down. Get some pep pills and do some counseling because onwards and upwards is where you need to go not down the black spiral.

I am sorry if I sound forceful but I know what it is like to go down into the fog. Do anything to avoid it. I would rather cut my own fingers off than go there again.
