Sorry ladies, I've been reading along but putting in 15hr days at work so not able to post much.

Lots of talk about oe vs de, my only advice is you will know when the time comes what is the right decision. For what it's worth I have no regrets at all, this is my baby growing in my belly. Yep my mortgage has taken a hit, but it's only money. I grew up with nothing and I did ok, as long as we can put a roof over bubs head, feed them and live them, we'll do ok.

I'm also a worry wart and used to worry about where the money would come from, I learnt in my late 29's that somehow I find it, I sacrifice or manage to move things around till it works, so I don't worry about it now. Yep my lifestyle has changed, we were comfortable and I could shop without worrying about cost, and now I can't but I wouldn't change anything.
@Bongley sorry about your diagnosis but at least you have an answer now and will be throwing everything at this next transfer.
@JulieMalooley I'm so glad bubbas are doing well!

    Hi to everyone else!

Just wanted to check with some of the ladies that have done POS to monitor the progesterone leaving their system and the (hopefully) HCG coming in naturally. I tested 2dp4dt last night after a 5000 pregnyl 7 days ago and a 1500 pregnyl injection the morning before I tested so I expected to see a strong second line from the progesterone but it was barely there. Just wondering if this is right or whether I flag it with my clinic as my body isn't absorbing progesterone properly?

I hope everyone is traveling along OK. It was very exciting to hear that your little bubbas are perfectly on track @JulieMalooley - was DH over the moon? And @Tahli I hope you are coming to terms with things and looking after yourself. Great that you've got a couple of plans to evaluate and I'm sure over the next few days it will become more clear which direction is pulling you the most. I hope you get good results on your next BT @midnite01 and don't have to consider Plan B or C, I'll be stalking for updates! And @Bongley I'm glad they've found something, as at least you now know that you can address it and it could be the missing piece of the puzzle that gets you to your BFP.

AFM it is 11dpo on a natural cycle and I got a BFN this morning and it's hit me really hard. I know the chances are slight, but I think it's hit home today just how desperately I want a baby. I've grieved, I've recovered, I've done pretty much everything I've been advised to, as well as spending thousands of dollars on alternative practitioners and supplements, counselors, bodyworkers, etc etc and then all the medications and it's all come to nothing.

I'm out of time now and I don't know where to turn next - I just think it's too late now. I did find that nice FS locally and he wanted to do a hysteroscopy and look at my uterus and I think do a biopsy, but I don't even know whether to bother. And even though it seems silly, I don't want to take a month out of "trying" to have that done - it seems like a waste of a month. Time keeps passing so quickly and I know I have to act very soon and decide if I try a low dose cycle just to see if anything changes - or pursue the DE option, but it all just seems too hard. I'm so tired. My health still isn't recovering properly and I am so, so desperate to have a child I can barely cope. And although DH says he's on board "I support whatever you decide" he doesn't want to spend money on this and with me being broke I feel like my options are gone. Sorry for the vent guys, I just don't know what to do.

@Apples1234 I think you'd be seeing second line from the hcg (not progesterone). maybe your body processes the trigger & pregnyl booster quickly. it's hard to see the photo. yeah, mention it to your clinic if you're worried. they might tell you to stop using the sticks though! (some prefer you to wait for BT, even though we don't)

Hmmm ok I just did a bit of googling and I'm a bit confused. From what I can tell pregnyl is HCG that helps the body create progesterone... I think haha

as I understand it pregnyl has hcg in it. and so does the trigger eg ovidrel. (not sure about other trigger meds, but my nurse mentioned ovidrel is hcg)

Big hugs @Summer. I wish I could do something to help your emotional pain. I know the annoyance about missing a month but maybe taking a month off to have the hysteroscopy may be a good idea. It is meant to be therapeutic and may turn up the missing link for you.

    Default IVF over 40 #21

@midnite01 and @Casaredust I have posted Dr M's tests and @Charlie74 posted some as well. The ones he got me to do are
    ENA
    ANA
    Anyithyroid ab
    B2 glycoprotein
    Lymphocyte surface markers cd56, 57,8,4,19

    Charlie may have some others.

I guess a gp could order them but have no idea if they could interpret the lymphocyte surface markers. I think this test may also be expensive as when I went to Melb path on a Friday afternoon, they told me blood had to be in the machine by 2pm on a Friday as it was so expensive, they turned the machine off and didn't leave it running over the weekend. I had to get the blood drawn between Monday and Thursday.

Midnite01 good luck with your 2nd blood test today.

caesardust I filled out Dr M's form but I also had a lot of bloods done after a few miscarriages so I sent him those along with my endo biopsy results. I also wrote out a timeline for him of when I conceived, hcg and progesterone results, what the embryos measured and their heartbeats were at different weeks and what scans my missed miscarriages had been picked up on and how many weeks the embryo was when it passed (I have never miscarried naturally, only ever found out at scans) his secretary told me if I got a referral from my gp I would get a medicare rebate. My gp wasn't sure but said who knows with medicare, happily wrote me one, printed up test results for me and when I received the receipt for the $300, it had not claimable through medicare on it. So I don't see any point in getting a referral unless your GP has any words of wisdom to write.
