Had my appt and now very stressed and sh1tty to say the least. Dr M was off delivering a baby so I got squeezed into Dr W before he had to run off for an EPU. Got about a 5 minute scan, told I had been having a threatened miscarriage so 2 weeks bed rest, valium and cyklokapron to stop the bleeding ???, didn't get to ask about scans, do I go off clexane?? , aspirin??? , hormones, etc and when, scans etc. Nothing. It was just, yep, not good, but I can't spend any more time with you, don't get out of bed, bye. And for that I paid $150. The fastest scan in the world told me that one was 32mm, the other was 20mm but was curved so who knows, one had a HB of 120, one was 160. I mean really WHAT THE FRUCK ?!?!?! This damn valium better kick in soon because I can feel my chest getting tight. FFS.

hugs JM. that sounds rough and confusing. can you call them later to get more info? say you have followup questions. or have another scan maybe. try and rest as best you can. now you're mind's going to be frazzled. I hope the valium kicks in soon too. I hope everything works out. did they say if it was just one threatening to miscarry or both. why does it happen on fridays when they're unavailable for the w/e

@JulieMalooley Wait what, wha??? How can they rush you through with all that!?! Woah. Did they say that because you told them you'd been bleeding or was it something they saw on the scan? Can you see another doc and get a bit more of an in depth explanation about the missed miscarriage diagnosis? Can you get a phone consult with your immune doc to discuss the meds you need to come off? Wowsers. Come on valium, do your job here.

Oh SH!T Luv!!! FRUCK!! I'm sorry Dr M was unavailable & Wazza didn't have the time to spend with you this morning. Yes...stop the Clexane/aspirin until further notice ok??

Ring the Admin girls out front @ ask them to find out from Wazza/ Dr M (whoever gets back to the office first) what to do r.e all the meds/supplements. Tell them you need to know today as Wazza didn't have time to give instructions this morn & you're on total bedrest with a threatened MC. They'll sort it out for you Luv.

Get the Admin girls to have one of them call you back to explain what's going on as it wasn't explained to you where the source of the bleeding is coming from as there wasn't time & you need to know.

My advice is to get another scan asap if you start spotting again or else I think Wazza usually rechecks in a week's time. The Admin girls can find all of that out for you too Luv or you can if one of them calls you back later on today.

Please just stay off your feet & take the meds Wazza's prescribed etc as he knows what he's doing I promise you. Am thinking of you & praying for the bubsxoxo

I'm so sorry for you having such an awful appointment, hopefully you can get some more detail from someone who actually cares. I have run into some real pieces of work docs through this process, sounds like you just found one this morning... Massive hugs
Yes, I just wish they had rung and put me off when they knew Dr M was not there. I could have come in later in the day. Yes, he saw the heamatoma just as I was telling him I had a bleed. He said 'yep, I can see why'. Its only affecting one bub and luckily that was the one waving its arms all around the place so is obviously still healthy.
I will be ringing around lunch time to get some blood test results so will try to get more answers then but have also just emailed my retired FS who said to contact him if I ever needed anything.
Just spoke to my boss who is very understanding and told me under no circumstances am I to take my laptop to bed and work. I can't see why not. I can rest and type (doing it right now) but anyway at least I'm under no pressure there. We DO have a very tight deadline to get a project finished in the next few weeks and this will have a massive impact on that, but he didn't even mention that. He probably got of the phone and when 'sh1t, sh1t sh1t !!' lol

On a brighter note, at least I don't have to try to hide my bump for the next two weeks. I can just turn up at work and will be pretty obviously preggers by then at 12 weeks, so a good time to announce it.

@JulieMalooley Ok...then he did explain what was going on/why.

Bloody SCH's!!! Glad to hear the bub's doing ok as obviously the blood clot is close to that bub's sac.

Hopefully the drugs will stop any further bleeding & the bloody thing will shrink & eventually go away.

That's good that your boss is so understanding & supportive. I agree that a ph call to say she'd gone to attend the birth would have been nice so you could reschedule. Don't know how much of a good idea it is trying to balance the FS side of things while still being an OB??

Good you've got your old FS there to lend a hand as well.

Huh. Just got a call from one of the nurses to say am I ok, do I have any further questions, do I know what the drugs are for etc. That was nice of them. I'm getting Dr M's email address too so I can email her my questions.
