2 very large potatoes
1/4 teaspoon butter
1 small block grated Kraft Cheddar Cheese
1 onion, finely diced and gently fried in the above butter (optional)
Ingredients - Pastry (or is it called Pasta, lol)
3 cups plain flour
3 egg yolks
3/4 cup boiling water
Boil potatoes, drain and mash.
Add grated cheese, pepper and fried onion (if desired)
Allow to cool completely.
Combine pastry/pasta ingredients together. Mix until a ball forms. Cover and stand 30 minutes.
Roll to 1/8" thick and cut to 3" circles (apologies for the non-metrics, lol)
Add filling (don't over-fill!) and seal with a pinch of water.
Boil in a large pot of water, in batches, with a dash of oil.
Remove from pot and drain.
Gently fry until golden in hot butter.
