    I think they are illegal in WA except at the casino?

    I think you should just relax a little more. Not the end of the world. The kids may have taken their shoes off and the parent unaware.

    What do pokies have to do with the thread?

    I miss that about WA. there's dedicated gaming/TAB venues but pubs don't have a pokies area/room which is nice.

    I hate pokies/gambling.

    Op said the play centre was near a poker machine area ( there is a club like that in Menai where you leave your kids in so you can go eat and gamble ) and I said I'd be more worried about bringing my DS to one of those clubs than him walking barefoot in a loo - for me I just don't like that whole club/pokie atmosphere
