Default Nausea and Vomiting in Pregnancy

    Hi

I am 12 weeks +6 days pregnant and having terrible nausea and vomiting.

The medicine Doctor recommended did not help me at all and recently I went to acupuncture. unfortunately nothing is helping.

I am feeling ok in every morning and nausea and vomiting starts afternoon.

I just wonder you have any recommendation to prevent this happening.

    Thanks in advance.

Which medicine was it? I was on ondansetron wafers through my whole pregnancy and it only just barely helped in the early days. They are expensive but worth it. Maxolon did nothing. It really was just a case of waiting for it to pass, which I know is the last thing you want to hear. I stopped vomiting daily at around 23 weeks, but still had the odd spew right through to the end. And from the day I had him ( four days ago lol) I haven't had to touch a tablet or had any nausea. Hormones are whack. Just eat what you feel like. Keep well hydrated and try to stay distracted from it.

Default Nausea and Vomiting in Pregnancy

Hi , I haven't had an vomiting but let me tell you the nausea is horrendous. My doctor gave me zofran it's a wafer you put on your tongue and it melts. Worked very well for me. A bit expensive but well worth it! I tried maxalon in my last pregnancy but that didn't help just made me sleepy. I spoke to a lady the other day and she said you can even try to snap them in half and try half a wafer and see if that works. I hope you feel better, I know how you feel and unfortunately there's not much anyone can do but wait for it to pass..

    Hi GenJane & Popsicles

    Thanks for your replies.

My specialist gave me Zofran but did not help me at all. It made me more and more vomiting and my GP said I am allergic to it.

Now I am taking Maxolon, 3 tablets per day but it does not help me either.

I just wonder what else I could do for nausea and vomiting.
