    Default My First Post

Hi All, in my 2WW after FET, currently at 7 days post transfer. Supposed to be testing on the 26th next week. Got a little ahead of myself yesterday and whilst hubby was outside mowing the lawn decided I would do a sneaky test. Omg the test fell in the toilet. Perhaps the universe telling me to be patient. Think I'm having pre AF pains but just not sure. This is my 3rd IVF attempt. 1 natural, 2 FET's. I'm 40 and on 400mg prog pessaries morning and night. I'm not a fan of the pessaries. Any Advice would be welcome 😘

@LJ18302 I'm also on day 7 of a FET cycle. I've been doing home tests everyday as I wanted to watch the trigger leaving my body. Instead of pessaries I've been on booster 1500 pregnyl shots which is another way to do the same thing - progesterone. I've had slight cramping the whole time since my transfer. It's been on and off but I just ignore it. I didn't have it for my last two cycles but then again they didn't work! My AF is due in 3 days but for me progesterone holds it off even with a BFN. I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry. You could do a HPT now. I did mine a couple days before the official BT for my last cycle and it was negative and I found that helped me prepare for the call from my blood test. Having said that a negative POS this early for you could very well be a false as your levels may not be high enough.

We had an awesome egg haul, great fertilisation rates, 5 Frozen embies. I have now had 2x fet of grade a hatching blastocysts. Now I am extremely upset about wtf is happening. Nothing like Tanej78, I honestly don't know how you have kept going love. Nothing in this journey is set.
I don't know how I can do this to us again. Husband has just left to "go out" with no explanation. I know he is taking it hard. I know we have 3 left. I know that we are very fortunate compared to so many others. I don't even want to use them. I can't do this another 3 times.....
As for me my journey has just hit another rock bottom and I don't know where all the pieces are to put me back together right now. By next week I will be seeking another transfer if there is time before Xmas.
Is anyone here in Melbourne that might have some advice about fs that specialises in immune issues? Wouldn't have a clue if I have any, not tested as we were diagnosed with male infertility. Told we had a fantastic chance of conceiving if we could get the sperm.
I don't want to waste the other embies but at the same time I want them used up so the journey is over one way or another.....
What a downer for a Sunday morning hey!
Please show me your bfp's ladies!!!
@sunny79 it's so important not to measure against someone else's journey... I have to stop myself all the time... You are SO entitled to feel EVERYTHING you feel regardless how you got here or how long it's been... It's a frucking nightmare....

My best advice is talk, cry, scream and shout... Let everything you can out, that's the best way to take a step forward...

It helps to have a plan... That is so awesome you have some embies still to go, your babies could be in there!
Doesn't hurt to get some more testing done to cross some t's and dot the i's ... I'm seeing Lyn B in Melb she's the first FS willing to through the gauntlet at us, while I don't have NKC I have high ANA and MTHFR and PCOS... That's all we have to work on... But it's something... You are welcome to PM me if you want, but def talk to your FS about your concerns it's your body they're your embryos if your not happy and feel rushed take them somewhere else. I moved 2 this year from city fert to Monash and it was relatively easy

I can't remember how many cycles you have been through

    Hugs xx

@Annerley thank you! All this is enough without Google Dr experts. I am struggling to understand why this topic has resurfaced. That bridge was built and has been repainted. Lets not scare any new people. Ive started to skip over peoples entries now if it looks unhelpful. Im a newbie and none of the debating is helpful. Even my follicles are getting the sh*ts! 🙉
@ttc1981 @stillfuntryin @waitingtoexhale Agree with your comments.. Keep the baby dust rolling xx

I once heard "Do you want to be right, or do you want to be happy". Sometimes we have to let things go and it keeps the peace and people happy.

AFM I did my first injection last night and you ladies were right, I didn't feel a thing. I just whacked her in and slowly injected. All done. I am, in a crazy way, looking forward to tonights one, makes me feel like Im actually doing something! I have a follie scan tomorrow morning, do I need a full bladder?

Baby dust to all, whether fresh, frozen, poached or cold pressed, single, double or octomum.. ♥️

@sunny79 I'm so sorry to hear that this cycle isn't working out for you. How heartbreaking 😞
@Staaz Thank you for helping me! I did it pretty quick and didnt overthink as advised. I did put an icepack on the spot first. It is 100% psychological. Absolutely agree there. Feel like Ive joined a club now, the secret IVF club.

Hi @Billie2 no you don't need a full bladder with the follicle scan.

I know what you mean with the injections, it feels like you are being proactive when doing them. And the injections are easy. The hard part is the tww when all the injections, BTs, scans all finish and no don't have anything to distract you and keep u busy anymore

    Thank you ladies.
Husband is home. Not talking about ivf though but all ok. I think he blames himself because of the azoospermia and I blame myself for my uterus not playing the game.
Thank you tanej78. I will have to do some more testing. I really have nothing to grumble about, honestly. Now I have watched home and away catch up and eaten lollies for breakfast I feel much better. Waiting for brax to grace our screens again, ivf will be the last of my thoughts.... My little guilty pleasure watching h&a.
