Thank you everyone for your feedback on the 2 vs 1 transfer question. I really appreciate everyone's varying opinions and experience. I certainly didn't intend for it to cause a rift or dampen anyone's hope around their current situation.

It's positive news on my Day 3 egg quality. Out of the 5 we had left; 1 is at 8 cells, 3 are at 7 cells and 1 is at 3 cells.

We'll probably lose the 3 cell egg and I'm assuming at least another one.

The 4 that are 7/8 cells are apparently top quality.

Anyway on a lighter note, I have a bit of a forehead slap to share with you all.....So using the progesterone pessaries at the moment and its bloody hot where I am (circa 42 deg for the last couple of days) and a our A/C crapped itself (awesome!)...so come time to use the pessaries (now using 2 X 100mg at the request of my immunology consult and results in the absence of having the 200mg pessaries on hand) they are a bit squishy...and its late...and I'm tired...so I whack them in the FREEZER to cool them quickly and then sit down to check stalkbook etc while I wait.....then I take them out and head to bed to pop them in....Well, I think I nearly froze my insides!! Mental note, don't use the freezer.....

Then I get up in the morning and go about my business and sit down on our leather lounge.......I now have a greasy progesterone pessary BUTT PRINT on my lounge......Will now spend the weekend trying to google how to get grease out of a leather lounge!! Mental note no. 2 wear undies and a liner to bed so as not to soil any more expensive furniture!!

PS I did have pj's on and they are now a greasy mess too.....

@mrsthomo- *YAY* congrats on being PUPO!! And I am sooooo glad that the acupuncture helped with your stress levels....I think I'm going to try to book in for another session in a town close by this week to try to keep mine down as I think I'm similar with the stress levels to you! Fingers crosses this is the one for you

Thanks also @Annerley! Hope the waiting for your O is not going too slowly....

    Take care all xo
Eeek @Ruby16 I've left a many greasy mark over the years, depending on how many layers ive had on at the time! I keep mine in the fridge too.

I've heard about the back passage but Ive never done it

I am going to ask my dr if there is anything else we can try to increase our chance of a successful transfer. I asked about metformin but the nurse said it is only if you are diabetic? I don't think that is correct but I don't know anything really.
We are doing IVF due to sperm antibodies and because we conceived naturally before my husbands stupid vasectomy then reversal they keep saying I will have no trouble but this will be my 4th transfer (not many compared to a lot of you) but I'm loosing faith.
I just want to throw everything I can at this transfer.

So many PUPO I am loving being able to share in all your journeys. Thinking of you all. Fingers crossed BFP!
I've been on metformin since April, because my insulin was a little high and I do have PCOS. Unless you have PCOS regardless of insulin I wouldn't think they'd put you on it... theres no harm in asking, but i don't think its specifically helps make a cycle successful.

Just wanted to jump on and say yes you can put the presseries in your back package. As gross as it sounds it is not as awful as it sounds either. I have been doing both ways this cycle as I just can't lay down for 30 mins at work so had no other choice. I am currently in limbo as my Beta results were low last week but doubled at second BT so retesting next week. Can't wait for a clear answer so that we can move forwards either way. Honestly regarding the double transfers you really need to just discuss it with your doctor, mine won't even do a double unless your over 35 and have had three failed transfers and he is one of the best, well known FS in Australia. He has his own thread on here the magical Wazza. He did one with me this time as it is my 8th transfer and my third with him and it was my last two frosties. In saying that I have had 4 double transfers all up and all were BFN's. It really is true what they say a double transfer can mean no baby, 1 baby or multiple babies. IVF is certainly not a surity some people get lucky and some just don't. Trust me I never thought in a million years when I started IVF that I would have done 8 transfers. I wish everyone who is PUPO and still cycling good luck and please don't sweat the small things. Ultimately what will be will be and I honestly believe that all of our results have already been determined so just listen to your doctors and clinic nurses and take care of yourselves xo.
    xx
keeping everything crossed that next BT shows even better doubling numbers... please let us know how you go!

@Tanej78 good on you for getting back in there and giving it yet another go! I hope this one sticks for you. I really appreciate your Ivf knowledge, it sounds like you've been through a lot and whilst you are right that it's different for everyone, I really do like learning from others' experiences.

Wow @Leachpeach sounds like a great scan result, 30mm geez that's a good healthy follies you have there! Good luck for Monday too.

Congrats on being PUPO @mrsthomo, I hope you have a stress free 2ww. As for my ovulation, it's more of a matter of when it happens. It will just be good to get to that point so I have my transfer booked and can then get really excited. Normal for me so is an ovulation on day 16 so I wasn't expecting anything with yesterday being day 11. With the way my last cycle was, ovulation could still be a while away. I've got time to wait but don't want to get impatient. Hoping I'm closer to knowing something in a week's time.

@Billie2 sorry to hear that you've been feeling unwell. This hot weather wouldn't have helped at all so thankfully it's a little cooler today.

Well said @sunny79 I hope you get a positive test real soon. Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks @Ruby16 I had a good laugh at your post. Oh my goodness that would have been cold

@RubyGirl sounds like it could be a possible side effect. Our hormones rule a lot of our body and how we are feeling and everyone reacts different. When I was pregnant with my DD, I used to get so thirsty. I started taking a glass of water to bed as I was sick of getting up and down all night, I'd wake up with such a dry mouth. After a couple of weeks, everything went back to normal. I do remember thinking it was weird that the time.

Hi @Maxwellsmum thanks for posting. I hope you get a clear result soon and let's hope it's the one we are all after!

I hope your embys keep growing well @GTBB sorry not sure if you've said but when are you expecting to transfer?

Good luck today @woof5105 I hope your transfer went well!

@Lexy123 16 is fantastic!! I've heard the same, apparently day 4 is a tough day for embryos. We didn't lose any from day 3- day 5 but we did a fresh transfer on day 5 and when it came to freezing them, they discarded the early blast since it was lagging so we lost that one overall. Good luck!

On a side note, I'm really enjoying reading everyone's perspectives!
I know this journey is different for everyone but I think that overall we've all just recognised that there are so many different ways of doing this that there truly isn't just one answer or a one size fits all approach. Everyone just has to so what they think is best, with the guidance of their specialist. It sounds to me that everyone is confident with their approach (apart from those who haven't felt heard by the FS but it sounds like everyone is overcoming that) so I'd like to think we can all read up on other's views and take whatever we like from it without taking anything to heart since we all know we are doing what is best for us.
We all aren't going to agree, otherwise the world would be a boring place. I just think on the whole it's mostly been a healthy discussion but I'm pretty open with the thoughts of others.
Also as some of you have said, some of us are stressed, frustrated, hormonal and willing this to work and putting more into this than we ever have before. What people have typed can be misconstrued and written not how it's intended. Wherever possible, I'm just trying to read each post with the best intentions as I don't really think anyone is trying to purposely hurt or offend.
We are all here for the same reasons and usually when you join these forums, it means you are happy to discuss all angles. We can all just keep scrolling.
i really just hope that people stick around. I'm not even PUPO yet and I know others who are still cycling would love to gain the support that they have given to others whilst they have been waiting. I for one, hope to be here until we've all had a chance to cycle.

@Ruby16 - hehehe! Thanks for the laugh! I've just changed from pessaries that are kept in the fridge to ones that aren't & I definitely find that the ones not in the fridge are messier! The things we do ...
