    Thanks @Hopeful37!

I had 6 eggs retrieved- 1 was immature, 5 fertilised but one didn't make it to day 5, so was left with 4. Implanted a 'freshy', so that left us with 3 to test- all were able to be tested, but one was missing some genetic info (genes 5 & 8 apparently) and apparently would never have implanted.....so just left with the 2...well 1 really now!!

No I don't mind you asking at all- I am 38, DH is 42, I have M/C twice and other than then have struggled to fall pregnant, so I guess it was just to rule out any genetic issues as to why we were struggling so much as I am the only woman in my whole family who has struggles to fall pregnant- my sister, cousins, mum, aunts, grandparents never seemed to have any problem apparently ...just me. But then again, I am the only one who also has Coeliac disease and Endo too.........just lucky I spose!

If I'm honest I don't think we'll test again (if we do another stim cycle) , as I'm pretty confident that we don't have any genetic issues.

Sounds like the same reasons I want to test! I was do dissapointed when I had none survive for testing. If this freshie fails I'll try again to test with our next stim cycle. It must be a good feeling that you know that the one you just implanted was great quality with no issues. That's one massive hurdle out of the way

It sure is nice to know that the one implanted was a goodie! Just hope my body complies now.....

What a bugger that yours didn't make it to be able to test @Hopeful37....here's hoping this freshie is 'The One'!!

Also @Waiting to exhale- I forgot to say earlier with my 'novel' on thrush, that my specialist refers to people like me as his 'fairies', as people that have problems with recurrent thrush, generally have fair skin...not sure if you do, but just thought I'd add that in

Wow 28 eggs! No wonder they were worried! I had 18 and they were worried. Were you sore after that egg collection?? Mine was so painful.

Good to know you have plenty of eggs.

Pressure on your ribs? Like as in trouble breathing? I didn't have that just ovary pain. Keep a close eye on your symptoms. If you get a fever at all go straight to hospital. I'm sure you'll be fine but that's what I was told.

That's was my second cycle when I got 18 eggs. This time I'm on my third cycle and I only got 4. 2 no good and cos I had an ovarian cyst burst I couldn't go ahead with fresh transfer. Then I had 2 months break to let my body settle down at my request. I'm so glad I did now tho cos I've just done a frozen transfer and it's SO MUCH BETTER!!! I don't think I'd ever do a fresh cycle again. It's so much easier to cope with and your less of a mess cos you don't have to have all the stim Meds. Even tho you're like all of us here and very keen to get an embrie in, trust me you will feel much better taking a break between. I don't feel so emotional or have hardly any side effects to deal with. Feels so easy compared. Hope you're feeling better soon and rest up. Xx
