Thrush is candida so if you're going to use Yoghurt get some without sugar. Kefir would fix it straight away. Sour kraut. Anything probiotic.

Hi Girls! Well I'm officially on the PUPO list!!

All went well yesterday, had a perfect little 5day hatching PGD tested embie transferred - so have fingers and toes crossed that all goes to plan
@mrsthomo I had acupuncture and it was great- went in before and after the transfer and to be honest I don't think I have felt this calm in a very long time- life is pretty crazy for me at the moment with work and life in general but added to the mix being the executor of a very messy estate + IVF......some days I just want to hide!

I haven't had that stressful stomach churning feeling since yesterday morning trying to make sure I was on the right platform and right train! (And then I asked a very kind lady for directions to Kent St from Town Hall station and she said- I'm going that way, come with me! So I did, she was soooo kind, I was just so grateful for her help!)

So I would definitely recommend acupuncture, if for nothing else to reduce the stress associated with this journey!

@Waiting to exhale- I suffer terribly from recurrent thrush as I am naturally very high in Oestrogen...the things I have learnt from my 25 year battle with it is- sugar is not your friend! The fungus lives on it, so cut it out if you can- fruit, alcohol, dairy, starch- everything. Take a probiotic tablet like Inner Health Plus ( I take 2 with every meal when it is unbearable (naturopath directed), 1 a day usually).....while doing IVF you can use the 3 or 6 day Canestan cream to take away the itch (not the pessaries apparently and not the fluconazole (Diflucan) tablet).....and agree with @Apples1234 on the saurkraut and Kefir......I have seen a specialist with regard to thrush and he has (in the past) put me on a long term course of fluconazole (every day for months) to try to beat the fungus, but I have found that diet is key. I had terrible thrush when I was taking the Progynova (Oestrogen) with my stim cycle.....and another thing I have read about is bio-identical progesterone to counteract the E2 levels......but you need to be careful as too little P4 will cause Oestrogen dominance symptoms to increase....ie thrush, moodiness, sore boobs, hot flushes etc

Hope this helps, and congrats to @Hopeful37 @Apples1234 and @mrsthomo for the two strong little embies ready for transfer! And sorry if I've missed anyone xo

Yep - diet is a big winner with it. Go the canestan cream if it's driving you crazy / not the tablets!! And yogurt and sauerkraut !! Lots of it. Pot set natural yoghurt though

The post is so busy at the moment!

Can't remember who asked about acupuncture .. But I've been doing it this cycle and had 3 sessions so far. Transfer is Saturday and I will have a session before and after transfer. Then I think maybe one or two in the 2ww.

I don't think it's improved my lining in terms of thickness but it's definitely helped me stay relaxed and calm(er). Has taken the edge of the progynova too which is usually causing rampages at this point (on 8mg/day)

Am feeling excited today about transfer. Was getting a bit emotional yesterday but had a big chat with hubby last night and I have done absolutely everything I can possibly do so it is completely down to luck now.

Have a lovely day planned for Sat. Acupuncture, transfer, acupuncture, nice gentle walk along the river, nice romantic lunch, then probably an afternoon nap! Then date night at home with steaks and a movie 😀

@Ruby16 I'm the same with Accupuncture! I find it so relaxing. I get even more relaxed than if I'm at a massage or meditation class.

Ruby16, that's sounds like very promising emby! Goodluck!! I tried to do the PGD testing but none of my leftover embies survived and weren't good enough to test. Do u mind me asking how many you had to test? And why u were having the PGD testing?

@woof5105 that sounds like a perfect plan for your transfer. The Accupuncture before and after sort of sets you for the day. I was laughing and making jokes with my doctor during the transfer about the funny chair and I felt really good about it.

Hello to all, have been semi enjoying my time in regional nsw/Victoria (got a speeding ticket in a school zone and didnt even know it was school zone because the signs were covered for various reasons, so will try to challenge it, probably to no avail because its all revenue).

Have tried to keep up with everyone. Hugs to bfns (@mink, and anyone else sorry i cant see all the messages on my phone) and congrats/good lucks to all pupos. @Ruby16 congrats on managing manic sydney, that can be the hardest part sometimes hahaha.

I took it upon myself to have a lining scan today and bloods while im down here. Luckily i did because lining and eostrogen levels are too low (3mm) for this time in the cycle and have had my dosage of progynova doubled, sooo yayyyy and hopefully that silly lining starts increasing super quick.

When i get internet connected down here will be sure to send a better message.
