    Hi everyone,
I have been trying to find a suitable thread which might help me with my IVF queries and hopefully I have come to the right place
I am due to have my 1st ET tomorrow morning and wanted to ask a couple of questions...
    - will I be able to drive myself to and from the appointment? a couple of IVF friends have said I should take a taxi back (my partner is away with work), but I was under the assumption I could just get and go fairly freely! My RE said it was fine either way. helpful.
    - I am a bit of an exercise junkie but will obviously be pulling back on the gym/running. did any of you resign yourself to total rest? I def don't want to take any risks but at the same time my body is used to exercising most days so I might go NUTS
Any advice about making the process endurable would be GREATLY appreciated.
    Thanks

Hi Aqua I had my ET and drove perfectly fine. My RE said completely normal daily activities except for hot spas , saunas etc. I have actually read that light exercise is great after transfer as its gets the blood moving. I wouldn't run a marathon or do anything that is Jolty lol - I did do an hour walk when I got home and felt great. Now 5 weeks pregnant ( touch wood ! ) Good luck with your transfer !!!!

Also not sure if you do it or not but I did acupuncture before and after transfer .. I think it was fantastic and completely relaxed me.

@Corbes and @pillowhead congrats again ladies, hope the BTs went/go well and can't wait to hear about those beautiful betas

Welcome @Aqua85 good luck for your transfer.
For me, it just felt like having a papsmear done except better since instead of waiting for it to end, I was excited and in awe of what was happening. I would have been completely fine to drive. I have heard of a lot of ladies resting up after transferring and even taking time off work but everything else I've read says to resume normal activites. My ET that I had for my daughter was on a Saturday so I just took it easy the rest of the afternoon and used the time to relax on the couch but still got up and did what I needed to do. The next day I just went about my day as normal. This time I'll probably do similar since it worked out well last time but really so long as you don't really overdo anything then it's fine. My clinic gave me a info sheet about not using hot tubs, etc

@aqua just treat it as a normal day but as you said no hard exercise. My FS even said its good to have sex as you've just put in what the body may see as a foreign object but they believe sperm helps the body accept the embryo. Oh wait I just remember your partner is away so best not then. But after my transfers my DH and I went for lunch and had a walk on the beach. Kept fairly rested for a few days with just walks. Don't push it all you will worry.

Hi ladies, sorry it’s been a couple of days! I actually tried to twice but my internet hasn’t been very reliable!

I’m so happy about all of the ladies getting their BFP’s!
@stillfuntryin & @Annerley My FS only ticked HCG on my blood request. Should he have ticked progesterone as well? Last cycle I never even found out my results for the bloods I had after my lining scan. /:
I’m definitely going to ask a lot more questions this cycle.
@Apples1234 I just realised we are cycling together. Hope it’s our month! x
@Corbes Best of luck for your sneaky beta today!
@pillowhead YAY! Those lines look beautiful.
@Aqua85 Best of luck for your transfer tomorrow!

AFM waiting for my lining scan on Friday the 13th!
I'm reading heaps about having successful transfers and am going to do all the things. Except for embryo glue! I called the other day about it and the nurse said if it was worth it then they would insist everybody have it. They have to ship it from Sweden and it's $500! :0

I'm glad I know what to expect this time, I'm feeling a lot more relaxed about it.
