@RubyGirl Best of luck for Tuesday! 😊 My doctor told me sex is fine in the lead up to transfer when I asked him but I'm not sure about on the day. I think it should be fine as long as he doesn't finish inside you. (Although I have read that semen is good for softening the cervix up for transfer.) I might ask when the nurse calls me.
@katt1011 I'm happy to have a transfer date! I also went to see the acupuncture clinic and they always have a room free for transfer patients which is great. I just have to call when I know what time my transfer is! 😊
Haha yeah. Just gotta try not to worry! We'll be putting back just the one. Feel like I'm literally putting all my eggs in one basket. (Nearly) Ugh! 😓
Oh wow. Where are you going to find an elf costume! Hope your son gets an easy day for you to do. 😊

Im currently on day 15. Scans this morning confirmed one 17.9mm follie on my right ovary and 7.9mm thick lining. Which apparently is perfect.

I actually just got the call to say that transfer will be on Tuesday. We'll be putting in a 5 day blast. Even though its a natural cycle we will be triggering with pregnal on sunday.

So excited. I have a good feeling about this cycle!

Quick question to everyone as i forgot to ask my nurse and I feel silly ringing back.... but.. can we have sex leading up to the transfer?

Im pretty sure we were able to with our last fresh cycle (which we didn't cause i was super uncomfortable from stimming & retrevial)
Hi, we're doing a FET on Monday (day 16 of my cycle as I didn't naturally ovulate so had a pregnyl 5000 injection on Wednesday this week. I told the nurse that we had unprotected sex on day 8 and she frowned and said its not a good idea. The problem is you could get naturally pregnant and then when they do the transfer it could disturb that pregnancy and cause problems or you could end up with multiple babies (twins, triplets or even quadruplets). So maybe just protected sex. 😉

My specialist did say it's a good thing to have sex on the day of the transfer (after its done) tho because the sperm in your uterus helps the body accept a new object and helps it not think its foreign.

I'm getting cramping and feeling like I'm getting my period on day 12 of cycle, 2 days after my pregnyl injection to induce ovulation. Just rang and asked the nurse and she said that's ovulation pains and some people have strong pain for ovulation. I had no idea!

Ahh okay. Sounds good! I wanna do everything possible to help this along. I kind of want to book a cushy hotel. Lol
Do you normally have ov pain? I was having ov twinges last night but because I'm on Progynova my ovary is quiet. All this stuff is so different! 😰

No not usually, never feel ovulation pain. She said some women get it really strong. I'm wondering now if I'm a starting to get a bit constipated from the progesterone and that's adding to it. Sorry but it's one of the only places we can be frank about our bodies haha.

Yeah I know what you mean. My DHs mum is a psychologist and she believes strongly in visualisation to assist your body to get ready for the embries. So she is coming tonight to do a visualisation/relaxation session with me which is nice of her. Also doing Accupuncture on the day of FET (couldn't afford lead up sessions too) and I'm doing hypnosis which kinda freaks me out but it's on repromeds site as a helpful tool for IVf, plus I've struggled with quitting smoking so I want it to help me with that. Other than that I plan to RELAX as much as possible. I've done far too much the past few days. Been designing clothes and setting up a vintage store on etsy and doing IVF and having work meetings. Some down time this weekend! What day will that mean your FET will be of your cycle @mrsthomo?

I wonder why they froze them so early?? My last two cycles they didn't freeze until blastocyst on day 5. These ones we r having be put in are day 4 frozen. I don't want to confuse u more but I'd rather put them in then unfreeze and put in culture. My FS says that's why we froze early on day four because it's not proven but it could help having them in your body earlier. That makes sense to me. Our clinic always transfers on the exact day your embries are old- ie if 3 days old put in 3 days past ovulation to sync with how it would naturally go.

It sounds a bit silly to me to freeze then defrost and put in culture for a few more days then transfer. Why not just keep them in culture for the 5 days in the first place. Seems to me more risk the more you are moving them and changing their environment HOWEVER and this is a big one, I'm NO expert and these are just my thoughts. If it were me tho if pop them straight in. If you are conflicted I'd say go sit somewhere quiet and still. Count your breath up to 10 3 times and allow your instinct to guide you. It's a powerful guide but we are never still enough to listen to it much.
Oh well I'll stop yabbering on now xx

A few years ago I had a massive amount of cramping wasn't on the pill or anything and I was convinced that my appendix was bursting we went to the hospital after 2 hours off constant pain they did a scan and it was just cramping from ovulation I was terrified when I had to do the trigger injection that the same thing would happen lucky no pain 😄
