Personally I've elected to have only day 5s. The reasoning is that the failure rate with day 3 is higher, but that corresponds to the rates of getting a day 3 to day 5. I'd rather not have a transfer and not get my hopes up than have one that has no chance of making it. Other people prefer the "rather in than in the bin" philosophy, and would rather have something transferred than nothing. It's very much a personal choice.

Ahhhh! It's the hardest personal choice I've ever had to make!
I'm going to thaw two and pray they survive and if they don't or if they do and the transfer doesn't work then I'll transfer the last one in December on day 3. 😥

Good luck Mrsthomo! I think you've got a good plan in place that covers your bases. Always nice when you have options!

@Tanej - how are you going? My blood test isn't until next Wednesday but I think yours was earlier in the week. Are you going to POAS before your bloods?

Yesterday I thought I'd do an early POAS - made a snap decision to just do it, went to the bathroom & had no pregnany tests left! I must have used the last one after my last FET! I think I'll now wait until Saturday or Sunday to POAS.

Hope everyone else in the TWW is coping! It's such a long 2 weeks!

I'm on day 2 of my FET so started my progynova today. Of the last cycle we did we got 17 eggs I think 11 fertilised well but of them 6 grew well, one was transferred (our daughter) and two were frozen at day 5 and three were frozen at day 3. Our doctor has told us that any embryo can get to a day 3 it's the day 5s you want so if this FET fails in the next one the will defrost and culture our day 3s and then refreeze them at day 5 if they grow that far. He also mentioned a higher failure rate for day 3s which I hadn't heard before.

@Lovebubs77 Thank you so much! 😁 I'm feeling so unsettled about it because my husband just told me to do whatever I think is best. 😧
It's definitely nice to have options though! 😊
@stillfuntryin Yay! What a lovely little bean!
@mrsmac3 That's really great to know, I feel better about my decision now. 😁 Are you putting two day fives in this time? Best of luck! x

Hi ladies just making a quick reappearance.
We are doing a natural FET cycle this time around.
Im currently on day 15. Scans this morning confirmed one 17.9mm follie on my right ovary and 7.9mm thick lining. Which apparently is perfect.

I actually just got the call to say that transfer will be on Tuesday. We'll be putting in a 5 day blast. Even though its a natural cycle we will be triggering with pregnal on sunday.

So excited. I have a good feeling about this cycle!

Quick question to everyone as i forgot to ask my nurse and I feel silly ringing back.... but.. can we have sex leading up to the transfer?

Im pretty sure we were able to with our last fresh cycle (which we didn't cause i was super uncomfortable from stimming & retrevial)

    Hi ladies,

    How are you all?

@mrsthomo yay you have a transfer date, such a dilemma you have on your embryos....are you putting back one or two?

@stillfuntryin yay on your scan, but rude sonogram people sux.

Good luck to those having epu or transfers this weekend.

Omg my sons teacher has just emailed saying i need to make a sock puppet based on the 12 days of Christmas on which day they were given. Grrrrrr atleast the other one only needs an elf costume!
