Great heartbeat I'm 24 weeks now and never really got ms. I did have slight nausea for a number of weeks and food aversions. Enjoy the pregnancy.

Thank you, I was hoping hb would be around 150 but I guess I should be happy with 140, just hope all goes well until 12 weeks.

Still no ms and now I think I'm happy not to have it. I'm just so exhausted all the time all I wana do is sleep. I have these weird taste in my mouth like a metallic taste and no matter what I eat I can't get rid of it. My tongue feels numb too. I'm constantly eating and I'm never satisfied, the taste in my mouth just makes me wana keep something in my mouth so I don't taste that feeling I have. Anyone stuffer from this?

Congratulations on your scan! 140 is a fine heartbeat, you will find it increases as you get further along but the actual rate at this gestation really has no bearing on the viability or anything.

Default I just want morning sickness.

@Milz00 I heard an old wives tale that says a heartbeat above 150 indicates a girl and below a boy.
Although I always take old wives tales with a grain of salt- 50/50 chance that'll be right!

@possie oh no pls don't say that lol I really want a girl. Does it matter how many weeks u are when u get hb measured if it affects gender prediction?

What are some other old wives tales, I love doing them. Can't understand how to do the Chinese calendar one can anyone help me out?

I've done the ring and thread and it's saying girl. Might try it again.

Oh wow @twolittlemunchkins. I guess that's why they're called old wives tales lol ... Have u tried the ring test?

I'm in two mind about whether I want to find out gender or not. I want to experience that feeling after birth being told "it's a ........"
