My DH was doing some work at the remand centre and DD got to Childcare and told everyone daddy was in jail whilst DS went to school and told everyone. Took me a few days to work out why the strange looks, finally a mum and the Childcare director told me what had been said so I could explain.

My dd told her class at Kindy that daddy was a douchebag. Clearly over heard us talking and joking the night before lol

Oh you poor thing! A few months ago I had a specialist appointment and my babysitter cancelled at the last minute. It was DDs nap time but I had to take her with me. My God I have never experienced such a tantrum in my life, she was so overtired and bored she flipped out, emptied my whole bag (tampons and all) out on the floor and yelled the place down. I eventually had to haul her out of there. I was mortified and just bawled when I finally got us both in the car.

My friend confided in me she and her husband sometimes use a swing in the bedroom. It hangs over the door and can be packed away. One night after dtd she forgot to put it away. Next morning her sons barge in and see it. That night at dinner with her parents her kids announce 'Mummy has a swing in her room but she won't let us use it' 😂 Poor thing I nearly died laughing when she told me.

I have shared this one a few times, but really it is the best I've got.

When dd was a baby she had a really ugly doll that had been given to DH as a *baby shower* gift at work, it came with a bathtub etc. Anyway DD decided she loved it and very soon this ugly doll got uglier and her hair was all matted. She was alway naked except for a floral hanky that I would sometimes fashion as a nappy or a halter dress. One day we were in Aldi and DD and dolly, called Skanky, were sitting in the seat of the trolley. We were in line at the register and a lady in a wheel chair and her (paid) carer were in line behind us and they were admiring DD. The lady in the wheelchair had one eye that looked in a different direction. So she said "What is your baby's name?" I assumed, from the direction one eye was going, that she was asking DD what the dolls name was. DD obviously couldn't answer so I answered for her and said "Skanky" and the carer kind of looked at me and I expanded on my answer and said "because she is so ugly". The carer said "she isn't ugly, she's beautiful". It was then that I realised that the lady was asking ME what MY baby's name was. I turned back toward the front of the store and didn't look back.

At the time, I'd have been ever so grateful if the ground had opened up and swallowed me. I would have happily corrected myself but couldn't think how to avoid the bit about 'I wasn't sure who you were talking to because of your dicky eye'.

I was on a plane and had my baby in my lap. To keep her happy I let her gum a biscuit to death. It was a gross soggy mess and she dropped it right into the lap of the hot guy sitting next to me. Obviously he didn't want to touch it, but i wasn't sure it's appropriate to touch another guys lap! I think he eventually handed it to me....
